Though advertised as a tour it is more of a talk, split into two halves – it is after all a very small brewery. However, the talk was informative and informal – plenty of opportunities for questions and chat with the hosts – Mary and Pete – or with the other people attending. The hosts were knowledgeable and welcoming. There was plenty of access to the products, far more so than on similar visits to larger breweries, and an opportunity to purchase the products at the end. An interesting and well spent couple of hours – much enjoyed.

Enjoyed a great evening with some mates. Thoroughly enjoyable. Very informative presentation and excellent quality beer. This is local enterprise that is well worth supporting. Get yourself booked on a tour, you won't regret it.

had a tour voucher given to me for Christmas. Although it is labelled as a tour, because it is a small brewery it is more of a talk. The talk is given by the owners who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The other highlight is the free beer. Others breweries give a few small glasses. Here you are encouraged to help yourself to pints form the barrels.

Me and my fiancè were driving around Hitchin and the surrounding area & stumbled upon this gem! We weren't there very long and couldn't boom a tour, but we will definitely be back to do so! We took beers home with is to try and my Lord they are nice! Would definitely recommend a trip here!

Really interesting and good fun. Great to taste three of the beers in unlimited quantities. Want to see this small business do well! Mary and Pete are lovely!

We were given this trip as a present and were unsure what to expect - it turned out to be a great afternoon. The whole thing was very friendly and informal - like chatting with a knowledgeable group of like-minded mates over a few pints. We learnt a lot about the brewing process, tasted some great beers and felt pleased to be supporting an up and coming local business. Highly recommended - only downside is that the brewery is a bit out of the way so you'll definitely need a lift or a taxi as you're guaranteed to drink plenty!

What a great night out! I was brought this as a Christmas present from my wife who has had enough of me dragging her around brewery tours.
This was a completely different experience. What could be a better combination than complimentary Beer and Nuts?
Peter and Mary were gracious hosts and pour your first beer, a choice of four on offer. After that it was help yourself.
Mary broke the evening up with two talks. Firstly about the history of beer and brewing in Ampthill and secondarily about the brewing process itself. Packed full of information and knowledge.
You were able to sample the beer as much as you wanted and socialise with fellow visitors. It was a very pleasant few hours learning and drinking beer what could be better.
Highly recommended. May well have to give it another go!

Huge thanks to Mary and Peter! On Friday night we attended the Ampthill Brewhouse brewery tour evening. We had a great time sampling 4 brilliant beers/ales and loved learning all about the brewing process. Bring on an Ampthill Brewhouse pub!

Twelve of us had a lovely two/three hour session sampling their three beers while being entertained by Pete and Mary who regaled us with the joys and spills of taking on a micro brewery. The first pint was poured by Pete, direct from the first of three barrels, and we helped ourselves for the rest of the evening, while we also struggled to consume the piles of savoury snacks. Great value.
Polypins and bottles were available as takeaways. The only thing missing is that I would love to have pulled a pint. Is that just me?
