We were extremely lucky to witness and participate in the release of baby turtles. 🐢🐢🐢
This is not something the center can guarantee as the turtles need to be released into the sea the day they hatch (or the day after if they hatch at night, if I understand correctly). The best season for this is from November to February.
That said, the center does an amazing job at patrolling the beach, collecting the eggs to keep them safe from poachers and predators, caring for them until they hatch and then releasing them.
They also rehabilitate turtles that are turned over to them by fishermen. I read some reviews here saying that they keep turtles in a small pond for the tourist to enjoy, and I think that’s a very inaccurate and unfair assessment. The center relies entirely on donations and volunteers to care for and protect the turtles. They do their best to rehabilitate injured turtles that are left in their care. For example, we saw a hawksbill turtle that had been turned over to the center by a fisherman and he had some wounds that they were taking care of!
I encourage you to visit and support this center and to applaud them for the great work they are doing. 🐢🐢🐢

This is a simple volunteer-run pawikan (sea turtles) conservation centre. The season for baby turtles egg hatching is November to February. The Pawikan festival is end of November or early December. This is not a resort or production facility that can guarantee sightings and hatching of eggs which are pure nature!
Please manage expectations and be open to learning about the pawikan and the history of the conservation efforts of the volunteers. They do not get government funding and rely on donations and their own creative efforts to support operations (including basic guest accommodations with offering of educational activities). Please consider supporting, promoting and donating.
Contact Mr. Manolo, director and lead volunteer ( 09216302842) of the centre to plan your visit. Best to do so before you get to Morong since cell signal can be erratic. During the season of the laying of eggs / hatching season, you can ask him if he can reserve a few baby pawikan for you to sponsor the release. 50 pesos per baby pawikan as donation. Note that this is to raise some funds for operations. They have to release the baby turtles within the same day they are hatched as the babies have food stored and should be using the energy to swim when able. They will still release the baby turtles even if there are no guests/ sponsors. That is why it really depends on the timing and chance of your visit.
My family and I visited in January. Felt so blessed that there were eggs that hatched overnight that allowed us to release them to the sea the next morning. I communicated my interest to Mr. Manolo the day before. It was good since there were 2 other groups that also planned and reserved for that day.
Mr. Manolo provided us with educational information on pawikan, conservation and Morong. He and the other volunteers are locals who are trying their best to promote conservation and help the turtles. Amazing since he grew up when fishermen in their area didn't know better and ate/ sold these endangered animals.

Rooms: Old, Dirty, Worn-out, needs renovation. The CR in each room was like from a 4th world country. No ventilation. Smelly and dirty. Aircon in each room was not cooling. They have to put a fan inside.
Cooking facilities: Failure. They don't provide gas or electric stove. Bring your own coal and be creative in order to survive.
The staff: Grumpy. We asked for assistance on the aircon, cr, and kitchen but they were irritated as if they don't want to be disturbed. This was considering there were only a few guest staying at that time.
The turtles: It was not the season for hatching. There were only 2 adult turtles which were in captivity in a very small and dirty pool. They are used as a display for guest.
Beach: Average. Dark but fine sand. No corals. Nothing to do besides swimming. There were boatmen offering a ride for snorkling, but we did not try.
Overall: Not recommended to stay because of the worn out facilities. You will be embarassed if you refer this to a friend. The moment you checked into your room, you will ask yourself "Why did I choose this resort?".
However, this place may be good as an educational trip for students only during hatching season, to experience the releasing of the baby turtles to the sea... ... but that's it.

The staff is extremely helpful and the food was good. We went out each night and searched for turtle eggs. We got the opportunity of releasing hatchlings to the ocean, which is completely amazing....except for the one time we saw one taken by a predator, which devastated the students (but that is the reality of young turtles lives).
The rooms are simple, but comfortable. Highly recommended

We had a beach trip in Morong. Naturally, I researched things to do or places to visit. The Pawikan conservatory center came up. I read a lot about the place. I read you can adopt a Pawikan, witness egg hatching, and be the one to release the Pawikan back to the sea. I was excited and urged my family members to go. It was may be a 15 min walk from our hotel. When we got there, there were no lectures or whatever. There was just 2 adult Pawikan swimming in circles in a small pond. They were visibly injured. The pond seems dirty and not maintained. I didn't care if there was no egg hatching or turtle releasing, I just wish they took care of the Pawikan more.

Beautiful part of morong, bataan and a great alternative resort to the ones nearer the town center. Fewer people and cleaner beach and waters. Of course, primarily people come here to experience the sea turtles hatching and releasing from November to March. They have rooms/accommodations for overnight guests who want to join the locals in gathering and saving turtle eggs at night. There is a minimal entrance fee of P20.00 /person (toddlers enter for free) and donation of P50.00 per turtle released. You can bring in your own food and even cook at the resort. Will totally come back for the beautiful beach and waters.

If you are there during nesting season (November-February), you may have the experience of a lifetime: releasing baby sea turtles. We arrived the night before and stayed at a beach house (rented through a friend). We stopped by the PCC to ask whether there were hatchlings to be released and came back the next day. The PCC is a simple, no-frills community-based conservation center. There are educational displays on sea turtles, and, during nesting season, an area where nests are labeled with dates and number of eggs. When the hatchlings are ready to be released, you can pay to release a batch of hatchlings (as many or as few as you like, although they will reserve some for tour groups that have made advance arrangements). There are two resident turtles in a small pool, but this isn't the draw. The draw really is in releasing turtles into the their natural environment. This really depends on timing. If you aren't around during nesting season, you may be underwhelmed by this place. But I think it is a commendable effort to mobilize communities to help conserve the environment. The surrounding area is beautiful--watch the sunrise and sunset!

We travelled from Manila to Morong, Bataan because we heard of this pawikan conservation center and the kids would be delighted to see the turtles. When we got there, they ask for entrance fee of Ph20 per head, little ones are free. You will only see two big turtles. Then the hatchery they called but no live turtles, only statues of them. You can buy souvenirs inside and there's the beach you can enjoy anytime! Nothing else aside from that.

Pawikan Conservation Center is far more than just a beach resort - it is a safe haven for those who want to get away from the crowded beaches of major tourist hot spots. The waters are marvelously clear and clean, and you can even see fish swimming along you near the shore. Morong isn't that well-known yet so if you're looking for a place that's not yet crowded this is would be the best time to visit PCC. The cottages and rooms are pretty neat, and even have their own wash areas and toilets. Price-wise, PCC offers a good mix of affordability and luxury - especially if you're going out with a group. When you visit between September to February, you might even take part in watching those little sea turtles crawl from their eggs to the sea. Oh, there are also boats nearby that offer island hopping and snorkeling tours.

How can i reserve 3 nights at the pakiwan beach resort they have no website

We paid 20 pesos per person. Bring cash. The place is run by volunteers so the entrance fee helps with operations. I don't think they get government financial support.
Better to contact Mr. Manolo, director of the center to plan your trip ahead. (+639216302842)
Go during hatching season and call to see if you can reserve baby sea turtles. They are released within a day of hatching.
To sponsor a release of a baby sea turtle, we paid 50 pesos per turtle. Again really a donation or way for them to raise funds.

Might be between Ocrober to Feb/March. We went in January and was lucky that there were eggs that hatched.
Better to contact Mr. Manolo, director of the center to plan ahead. His cellphone is +639216302842.
