Visited Thornton Hall for their Country Rocks event. The acts were absolutely spot on. The staff were friendly. The food was excellent. Just found the drinks a touch overpriced. But overall we both really had an enjoyable night out.
We also stayed on the campsite. The site is very clean & tidy, very well spaced out pitches. The toilets were clean (initially). Only downside is the actual number of toilets, 3 for a full site was far from enough.

Just spent 4 nights camping at Thornton Hall Country Park. Lovely little site, but had to queue for toilets & showers even though the site was quiet as there's so few of them. No hand-drying facilities in the toilets either. The weather hasn't been brilliant & there's no cover over the dish washing area which is a shame. The Farm is obviously aimed at young children but there's nothing for them to do on the actual campsite other than play in a field; it's a shame campers can't have access to the park & facilities without paying to go in every day (it is discounted though) as it would be nice for the children to play on the park & for the adults to access food (& the bar!) if needed. There are no shops local to the campsite, so you have to drive if you need to stock up on anything.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but we wouldn't be in a rush to go back.

I cannot recommend this place enough. We visited for our Granddaughter’s 5th birthday and we had such a great day. The staff are so friendly and there is so much to do. Would highly recommend

We visited with 2 grandchildren for the afternoon and had an amazing time . Granddaughter got to ride a horse , grandson did quad biking and they both loved feeding the animals . We watched the princess singalong and did the meet and great afterwards which was amazing . Then finally the foam zone was fantastic !! Huge Thankyou to all the staff for putting in so much effort it was a lovely day out

Amazing day out for families, the entertainment was fantastic my little boy loved every minute. Very good value for money with the amount there is to do.

I was a little apprehensive after some negative reviews but this place did not disappoint!
We arrived at 10:30 and headed to the barn to feed the animals. At 11 we were booked onto the animal safari which was incredible (book this in advance) the guy who took us around was super knowledgeable and we got to see some beautiful animals and views. The safari was 30 minutes.
We then headed to the princess sing along which was in the secret garden tent. There was a bar at the back selling food/drinks (reasonably priced for a day out). Following on was the pirate show which the kids absolutely loved.
We had some lunch in the picnic area and then it was our time for the soft play - you get a 2 hour slot in there which needs to be pre-booked.
To finish the day off we headed to the foam party in the foam zone! My 4 year old was in his element!
We stayed until 4:00 and still could have done more!

We had THE BEST weekend at Thornton Hall Farm. I have bringing my children here every year for the past 9 years and there is always something new to see and do. My children loved feeding the animals and playing in the soft play. The food is really good but they do allow you to bring a picnic if you would like to make your day a bit cheaper. We also enjoyed all the little extras such as quad bikes and horse rides which were all reasonable priced. We loved the tractor ride around the farm, the guy driving the tractor was fab and told us loads of interesting facts about the farm and the animals. This year we stay in one of the bell tents which we loved. Everywhere in the farm was kept clean and tidy, the facilities are great and the staff are always really friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend this place enough! We will definitely be back and can’t wait for more adventures here!

We visited today with our 9 yr old grandson. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. You could tell that they genuinely loved the animals.
Josh fed a calf and a lamb from a bottle, groomed a pony and held a guinea pig and rabbit. He also enjoyed feeding the goats, sheep, alpacas, stroking the gentle donkeys and the dinosaur trail.
The indoor play and toilets were clean. You won’t be disappointed if you visit

When pulling up to Thorton Hall, first impressions are of grandeur, with no expense spared, and whilst the overall farm is clean and well kept, the positives for us sadly faded from there. All the animals are kept indoors, so it didn't take very long to go round and look at them all and feed them. The safari ride, which is the only other farm related activity, was sadly booked up until the afternoon as the whole experience takes 30 minutes, with a 15-minute interval between, with limited seating. It also wasn't clear that you had to book this at reception, one would think the girls on the desk would try to upsell these experiences when you enter! If we had known, we would have booked in as soon as we arrived. The outside amenities themselves seemed to be too small for the number of guests, i.e., only 3 go karts on the track and 1 climbing frame. Whilst there is an indoor playarea, again though, these slots were booked until late afternoon, so we really struggled to find something to do after a while. Too much emphasis has been put into the theatrical singing and shows, the music you could hear throughout, and took away from what we expected Thornton Hall to be! Dinosaurs, princesses, pirates.... no clear business concept or identity, just box ticking exercises at their finest. Maybe if you built up the main infrastructure, people would stay longer and be willing to spend more money! £50 spent and could only endure an hour. If it's a real farm experience you're after, head to Hesketh Farm.

We visited the farm yesterday (3rd Aug) with our 5yr and 6yr old. Whilst we had a pleasant day, the overall price seemed excessive for the attractions included.
The farm side has a small section of calf’s, pony’s, sheep, llamas and goats.
The Dino trail is pretty poor, it’s basically a walk up a hill with some Dino facts hung up and small dinosaur models. My 5yr old was terrified of the excessively loud roars coming from the speaker.
The cost of the food and beverages was ridiculous. £1.75 for a fruit shoot! £1.50 for a warm can of pop! Definitely take your own food and drink!
There also isn’t enough to do there without buying the extras, like the caterpillar ride, donkey ride, quad bikes, animal feed etc.
On the plus side.. the pirate show was so funny, the princess sing a long was great fun and the lady who plays Anna has an incredible voice!!! The Dino experience was ok, but the lady hosting was fantastic!
I don’t know why places like this insist on rinsing parents for everything as soon as they walk through the door. But my kids had fun, I just don’t think we’ll come back.

There seems to be lots to do, play area and animals etc. We were there for afternoon tea for 4 elderly ladies so we were looking for different things. Worth a visit.

We did not have afternoon tea, but from what we saw I would imagine it would be of a high standard, sorry I can't tell you the cost, but as I said before, I don't think it would break the bank, and what the heck, it's a treat isn't it

Hello - apologies for the delay in resounding. We have an indoor play barn with slides, sandpits, scary maze, rope swings and ride on tractors. The animal petting & animal feeding activities take place in the barns too. Cafe too. Don't let the rain put you off - hope to see you soon! Circus workshops tomorrow (Weds) are also included in your admission.

You will pay 5 pound per child 25 five pound the adults will be free this is because it is still term time . You will have a great time it's fantastic cannot be beaten enjoy

There is the x43 from Burnley to skipton which stops at Thornton in craven which is only a 10 minute walk away.

You get to feed and stroke them.

Hi, many thanks for your enquiry. Our weekday term time toddler sessions would be perfect where we tailor the activities more towards pre school children and the farm park tends to be quieter when we do things like small animal handling and lamb feeding etc. It also works out a little cheaper at £5 for a child with one adult admitted free.
