Per me è il posto migliore in assoluto per vedere i sakura.
Uno spettacolo incredibile vedere quei ciliegi enormi in fiore con quelle chiome foltissime.
Rispetto ad altri posti come il parco Ueno e il meguro river i ciliegi mi sembravano più antichi e più grandi…spettacolarissimo

ㄧ個公園的好壞草皮決勝一切，很舒適整理過的草皮，坐在上面看櫻花很舒適，且櫻花樹都很大很漂亮，這裡雖然要門票500日圓，但是也可控制人數與公園品質維護的很好。

This is a fantastic place to visit, easy to get around good for all people of amy age and wheelchair friendly plenty of amenities available also.

A beautiful tranquil garden in the mayhem of Tokyo. The scenery is stunning and we were there as cherry blossom was arriving, another few days would have been amazing. So peaceful strolling around the gardens seeing the traditional Japanese garden was my highlight

Give yourself plenty of time to walk this large garden. Even at the beginning of spring it was very beautiful with some blossoms. A hint of what’s to come.

Vicino al nostro hotel è raggiungibile in 10 minuti di camminata ci siamo recati al giardino di shinjuku. Costo di entrata 200yen ma veramente bello. Giardino in stile giapponese, laghi con carpe, tutto super curato... Ottimo luogo per staccare un po' dalla frenesia di Tokyo.

Beautiful and peaceful botanical garden in tokyo with varieties of plants trees and flowers. Specially Sakura blossoms are beautiful. Entrance fees are mandatory.

Visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon. It was lovely walking around the park as the cherry blossoms were just starting to bloom. The greenhouse was a highlight and it was nice to sit in the sun and watch the world go by. Recommend coming for a picnic and enjoying the peacefulness in the centre of a busy city.

Fantastic Asian culture and landscape!
Beautiful gardens, bridges.
The greenhouse is really cool with beautiful tropical plants and flowers.
In the cemetery of the gardens there is a Starbucks LOL where you can enjoy your coffee and the beautiful pond.

All'interno della zona dedicata al commercio, trovi questo gigantesco parco adatto a tutti (turisti e chi abita vicino), tenuto in maniera maniacale (verde, laghi e fiori!) compresi i servizi.
L'ingresso è a pagamento ed essendo in giappone il costo è un pò caro (ma come tutto qui da queste parti!).

You did probably not visit the greenhouse. Also the garden is full of history and knowledge of all the species you see. The entrance fee is necessary for funding the garden.
I can assure you that the garden is worth visiting in all seasons due to the changes trough the year.

Indeed! I will be going back to Tokyo during the Cherry Blossom season and will look forward to seeing the various gardens at a different time of year.

How easy is it to get to from Hotel Gracery in Shinjyuku? I can see it on the map but can’t really gauge if it’s an easy walk?

It should take you about 10-15 minutes to walk, depending on your speed and the traffic.

I didn't see any information about it, but when we arrived the tea house we had no problem getting seated and served.

When I visited this place 10 years ago I luckily came across a wild Indian rose-necked Parakeet in the poplar trees area, but couldn't find them on a recent visit(Feb 2019).
Are they still there? If so, which season is best to find these lovely green birds??

About how long does it take to explore the park? Would 2hours be too short to see all 3 gardens? What else is there to see in the park? This would be my first time to tokyo so im trying to plan ahead as much as i can and this park is on my top list of things to see. I was planning on going in april and to arrive at opening time at 9am on a weekday then at 11am go for a lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading to shibuya.
