What an amazing experience, this sanctuary for critically ill dogs and cats is one of the most humbling heart warming places to visit for dog lovers the world over.
Jeffrey who runs and cares for these animals was so welcoming to us, the sanctuary was closed when we arrived however he was kind enough to let us in and visit with the dogs. So many heartbreaking stories but also stories full of hope because of the work Jeffrey and Wooff do.
If you are an animal lover and are ok with a bit of dust and dog slobber then I highly recommend visiting. You can volunteer to help feed, wash or simply spend time with the animals. Food for the soul and a strong reminder of what one persons kindness can do.
What an amazing place and I can only encourage a visit and or donation anything to help.

Woof Langkawi is the most beautiful dogs/cats guest/recovery house I ever visited.
The truth is that Wooff Langkawi is more a sanctuary than a shelter. Jeff is an incredible hero handling alone such a huge work, fortunately helped by volunteers sometimes, but he continuously needs assistance. So I encourage everyone able to spend time with Jeff and his pets there. You will not regret it 🙏🏻🐕❤️🐈❤️
Beyond the daily cares, every pet receives so much love in a mix of peaceful, funny, friendly, meditative atmosphere 🙏🏻
This place is like no other one... and I already visited many shelters, but this one is unique, a real sanctuary dedicated to the recovery, the wellness of the dogs and cats.
This miracle was possible thanks to Jeffery Tan who does really needs our support.
I myself adopted Pepper who after a very happy start with Jeff and his friends, has been enjoying his new life with us here in Monaco. The fact Pepper comes from Wooff Langkawi makes me feel so happy and has a magical meaning to me....🙏🏻🐕❤️🇲🇾❤️
We discovered Langkawi in 1998, and since then regularly go back there but only very recently discovered Wooff Langkawi sanctuary and Jeff.
This made changed my vision of this island. If I look forward to be back and enjoy my holidays, the wonders of this paradise, I am now definitely focalized on Jeff and the pets at Wooff.
Every people who knows that sanctuary understands what I mean and what I feel. I share with them the same admiration for Jeff.
There's not a day I do not think of Jeff, his lovely dogs and cats and great volunteers who understand Jeff's mission to save and give love to these animals.🙏🏻🐕❤️🐈❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Volunteered here in July and it was amazing. It's not just a sanctuary where you walk the dogs, here you get hands on with everything from feeding to cleaning to helping with wounds/medical issues (and lots of cuddles/playtime of course). Jeff the owner is a one of a kind and you can tell how much he cares about the animals the moment you step into the place. If you're looking for somewhere to volunteer in Malaysia/South East Asia, this is the best place. Even if you can't volunteer, this place is a must see on the island!!

I was lucky enough to have met Jeff and visited the sanctuary when I first got to Langkawi and instantly I was taken back by how much knowledge and care Jeff has for these animals. I visited several days in a row and couldn’t get enough, each dog has there own special story since being rescued and cared for by Jeff and he can recite every single one and every single name out of about 150+ dogs! Not forgetting the cats and kittens Ofcourse.
Jeff is an amazing man who dedicates his life to his work and these animals and if you get a chance to visit for even an afternoon please do, I can assure you that you will leave feeling uplifted Jeff and his furry family 🐶

BEST DOG SHELTER IN ASIA!! As the lack of information on social media, we came across this dog shelter while travelling SE Asia and I Honestly couldn’t have been more grateful. After meeting Jeff, I will never see someone put that much work into what he loves, my partner and I adore dogs and it was so so beautiful to find someone who adores them just as much. He cares for, feeds, and heals all these dogs back to health after some tragic incidents! All 150 dogs are cared for so so much and it all shows with how much they love Jeff! We volunteered at multiple dog shelters and these dogs were far far happier compared to the rest of the shelters! Please donate and volunteer where you can as Jeff and his companions deserve the world 🌍 🐶

A loving place where Jeff takes care of the dogs and cats on Langkawi with all his heart. You can volunteer and donate freely! During our visit we got a nice tour from one of the volunteers from Belgium. A must visit!

Not all heroes wear capes, and Jeff is one of those. If you love animals, volunteer! The dogs love the attention and Jefferey needs all the help he can get.

This is the most amazing dog & cat sanctuary/rehab.
Jeff is genuinely the most incredible person I have ever met and the work he does for these dogs is truly mind blowing.
Jeff has given his life to rescue, protect and rehabilitate these animals to give them a second chance and a life full of love and safety, which is not guaranteed on this island.
The dogs are obsessed with Jeff even the most timid of the dogs will rush over to him the minute they see him. This is so much more than just a shelter.
This was on of the best and most immersive experiences of my life and I would highly recommend visiting if you love animals!
If you are visiting Langkawi please visit the sanctuary. Donate what you can and spend as many days as possible volunteering.

It was during my last stay on the island of Langkawi last March, driving the unfortunate little puppy hit by a car (I called him Pecco in homage to the famous motorcycle GP champion, Stefano Bagnaia 🇮🇹 🏍, alias "Pecco"), that I met Jeffery Tan and an extraordinary, simply extraordinary universe...
When I found myself inside this Noah's Ark, facing all these resident dogs and cats, I had an incredible shock. Among them, many are orphans, injured, and have therefore suffered greatly.
It is there in Woof Langkawi that they find hope, love, comfort and confidence in themselves but also confidence in human beings, at least confidence in good human beings...🙏🐕❤🐈
Jeff has created a haven of peace for them, conducive to their well-being and healing, and also offers them wonderful moments of recreation... 🤗🤣🐕❤🐈.
Whether urgent or regular treatments, physiotherapy, balneotherapy, etc.
He provides them with all the care necessary for their well-being and healing...
One thing is more than certain: the way all these animals look at Jeff says a lot about their mutual attachment. 🐕❤🐈🙏Which is very reassuring but also very touching. 😭🐕❤🐈
Woof Langkawi is the story of an exceptional man, Jeffery Tan, who put all his strength and his heart at the service of this impressive sanctuary, of the noblest cause of all: that of the happiness of animals.
As you will understand, this investment, both human and financial, is gigantic.

Without wanting to get off topic, before bringing my little champion Pecco (who I hope to be able to adopt 🙏🐕❤) to Jeff's house, I was going through a very difficult time... The discovery of Wooff Langkawi, of Jeff, and the admiration that I hold for him, like all the people who had the chance to meet him) given the titanic work he does 365 days of the year, from sunrise until late in the evening, has been my therapy 🙏🤗🐕❤🐈
Aside from this personal parenthesis, our wish is to all support Jeff both through our on-site help and/or through donations with a view to providing veterinary care, the purchase of medicines, vaccines, etc... and finally that there are many of us who fall for adoption, or sponsorship 🙏🐈❤🐕
Seeing that more and more of us are reaching out to Jeff warms my heart because Jeff truly deserves it. ❤
If you spend your vacation on the island of Langkawi and if you love animals, don't miss meeting all these cute little people and supporting Jeff. You won't regret it... 🥰

The person who left a bad review on this has clearly never worked with dogs also said "animal abuse witnessed" but never actually went in so how could you witness animal abuse ? Do not pay attention as it is untrue and not fair that it has gone through considering they did not visit.
This place is the most amazing place I have ever been. We were only supposed to be here for 2 days and have extended twice. We are now coming on for our 1 week here. The hardest week of my life but the most amazing. We came for the dogs but stayed for the owner, jeff.
He loves these dogs so much. He kisses every dog in the morning and every one before he goes to sleep with over 140 dogs, he remembers everyones name, needs and medication, this man is honestly God like.
There are over 140 stray dogs here, they play and argue which leads to yelps. Jeff will have to break it up which is what you can hear. You would only know this if you took the time to visit.
Really upsets me to know how much Jeff has sacrificed and the work he does for someone to review without going in.
If you can do anything , please donate and please, please go to volunteer. He takes in live in volunteers too which you could do for a long time and will welcome you in like family. It is hard graft but only then, you will know how amazing jeff really is.
