We went on a rainy/foggy day. Careful the floor gets flodded and mouchy. Just wear the proper shoes. You will see a little even with the fog. If it is windy, you will see the wind push on the fog.

This seemed a place that got far fewer visitors than nearby Three Sister’s site but the views were just as great. Even on a cloudy winter’s day, it was a good stop to visit. I would definitely recommend

First time I went here the area was closed due a car park being built..
Had another try and it was open and amazing. Windy day, so we had to be careful.but what a view... there was a hawk or kestrel right at eye level just floating on the wind - keeping an eye out for its dinner.
I’d be careful with children as there is no barrier and the drop is immense.. worth the trip and a short easy walk to the rocky lookout

Love the natural beauty .. I heard from others that it was an amazing location... The weather was perfect for sunset and astro and this beautiful location was well worth the long drive from the Central Coast....

photogenic. if you're facing the valley, the cave is on the LEFT. there are two caves - you have to walk past the bunker, and scramble up 1-2m of rock. inside the cave i was only able to take the classic photo with my phone using the ultra wide lens option.

This place has a magearic view, if you are afraid of height might want to stay away from the edge, but plenty of photo opportunities. Sunset or sunrise probably are best time to view or noon when the sun is high up, otherwise you got glare when overlooking the valley. You can bring your drone too.

This lookout should be better advertised as it’s view is fantastic.
We turned up to see it at sunset but I’m sure the vista would be good at anytime.
The platform is uneven & there is no barrier so you need to watch your step.
On our 30 minute visit there would have been no more than 25 people at any one time which is another good reason to visit this lookout compared to the other more popular lookouts.

What a find (goggle 20 best lookouts in the Blue Mountains). We drove to the parking area then walked about 100 metres to the lookout - it is breath taking. There are not barriers so if you have children hold on to them. Sunset is an amazing time to visit and the photos opportunities are wonderful. Quite a few people at this time but so worth it and everyone took their photos and moved on. We waited until almost dusk and had the place to ourselves.

I’ve visited the Blue Mountains regularly since I was a child, but I never knew about this place.
I discovered it after Googling the best lookouts. It’s found at the end of a bumpy dirt road. You can park and walk up if your car isn’t built for off-road.
There were lots of people on top of the flat rock. If you walk to the end and to the right you find a bunker cave. But a little further up is a natural cave.
You can get incredible photos of you are brave enough to climb the vertical rock face to get inside.

Lincoln’s Rock is a massive viewing area to the valley. Unbelievable photo opportunities here. Best time of day is early morning & late afternoon to sunset. There are no safety barriers here, so I would not recommend visiting with young children. If it’s windy better to give it a miss.... way too dangerous.

Hello, we are attending our son's weeding at Lincoln's Rock in early May. We are from Queensland and have never been to the Blue Mountains before. I am just trying to gauge what the weather will be like.
Do I need a 4x4 vehicle to get to the Lincoln‘s Rock parking spot ?

No, the last bit is dirt but it's fine for 2WD vehicles.
