Dan is a great instructor - very calm, throws in a little humour and a lot of knowledge. The climbs are beautiful and well chosen, you start small and work up to what seems like a pretty big abseil if you're a total beginner like I was.
10/10, can't recommend highly enough

Had a great experience with Dan doing my first abseiling trip and couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Dan made it really interesting and is a great guy who made us feel extremely safe as newbies. He also went above and beyond giving us further advice and even dropped us to our next activity.

Amazing experience, Dan made us feel very comfortable and safety was paramount. We did 3 abseiled and with training, felt confident to do the biggest abseil. Great views and had a fantastic time, I highly recommend Dan

I’d highly recommend Dan to anyone looking to go abseiling in the Blue Mountains. Dan puts safety first and I felt confident that I was in good hands. We abseiled over a few different cliffs varying in height. I had such a great day and would definitely use Mt Dan’s adventures again!

We planned a Family Holiday to Australia from the United States to visit our daughter who was studying for a semester at the University of Sydney. We booked a day hiking tour to the Blue Mountains with Mountain Dan due to his high 5 Star Reviews.
Our Trip was cancelled due to the Coronavirus and we gave Mt. Dan a week’s notice that we were cancelling.
Given the extraordinary circumstance of Coronavirus – every other travel supplier including airlines, hotels, tour operators has provide a full refund. Mt. Dan refused to provide even a partial refund. He offered a credit, but we explained we would not likely be visiting Australia, as our daughter won’t be studying in Sydney anymore.
Its really disappointing – Mt. Dan is so GREEDY. He is keeping our fee, even though we won’t be able to take the tour. Shocking!
Please take your business to travel operators who have committed to not profit from a global pandemic.

Never done abseiling before in my life. Dan will get you started with small cliff (3m) to get you familiarised with the techniques. Then we went on a 13m drop which was a thrilling experience for first timers like me. The final 30m drop was extremely scenic and obviously extremely thrilling. Think off abseiling down a 90 degree angled cliff edge at the same height as the 3 sisters for 30m.
Dan was extremely friendly and it was definite one of the best trips of 2020.

My husband and I just finished abseiling with Mt Dan. He was very safety conscious which was comforting as we dangled over the edge of the cliff! Great time.

Overall great environment, aware and concerned about the land and the safety of all who use the area.
helps clean up the site even for things he did not bring to the journey. overall if your wanting to go abseiling he is a great person to have to secure your ropes while you are walking down the side of a cliff.

Had a fun day abseiling with my brother and husband with Mt Dan's Adventures. Dan is a great instructional guide who cares about safety. Any person who can make Tony have fun while doing an activity that challenges his comfort zone has done extremely well. Calming, knowledgeable, a friendly personality combined with clean and well looked after equipment makes for a great experience. Thanks Dan.

Dan was a fantastic tourguide! He really puts safety first and will help to make you feel calm if you start getting nervous (like I did at the highest point!).I had a super fun day of abseiling with Dan and my partner and I abseiled down from heights I never thought possible. Well worth the money and it's something you'll remember forever. Thanks Dan!
