This famous Lord Hanuman Temple sit’s atop the highest peak in Kasauli with breathtaking views of Chandigarh and Shimla. The hill and the temple is in an area managed by IAF hence entry stops at 4:00 PM. Lunch hours are 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM.
Passes are issued after verification of government approved ID. Photography, phones and electronic devices are not allowed and must be deposited before you being the climb to the temple. Beware of monkeys and keep a water bottle with you. It is a steep climb but definitely worth the effort to seek blessings of Lord Hanuman.
Also the place is Man Ki (place that fulfils one’s wish) and not Monkey Point.
It is believed that Lord Hanuman rested his left foot on this hilltop and the right foot in Jhaku Temple Shimla while carrying Sanjvini Booti during the Ramayana War.

Manki point is worth visiting for a famous Hanuman Temple. It is believed that while carrying the Sanjivini, Lord Hanuman rested here by keeping one of his feet on the hill here and another feet at the Jakhu Hill in Shimla.
The temple is located on a steep hill under the control of Indian Air Force. It is well maintained.
Before going to the temple, check the timings. It opens at 09:30 am. Before that air force personnel will not allow the entry. Camera and mobile phones are NOT allowed.
Very peaceful and a must place to visit.

15-20 minutes taxi drive from the Church.
Entry closes at 4 PM.
Since it is situated in a defence area, a visitor pass is issued after verifying your ID. Mobiles, digital watches, chargers, pen drives etc have to be deposited in a locker at entry for a fee (Rs 10 each). Bags and ladies purses can also be deposited for a fee ( Rs 30 each).
There is a walk for 10 minutes before the climb.
The climb is approximately 500 meters and it takes 15-30 minutes depending on your age and fitness. There are a few steps and ramp and a lot of benches to rest en route.
On the hill top is a Hanuman Temple. Also very beautiful views from the top provided the weather is good.
Clean toilets are available.
There is a small restaurant serving hot and cold drinks, pakoras etc. One can enjoy these as there are table and chairs around.
Return downhill will take approximately 15 minutes.
Beware of monkeys in the way as they can attack food packets and even water bottles in your hand.
Total trip duration approximately one and half hour.

It's Sanjeevani Hanuman Mandir at height of 500 Ft. You have to go with your owns via stairs. Not suitable for people with heart problem or pain in legs etc. You can take rest in between and go slowly if you want but not easy. View from top is good but more religious region to visit.

It was an incredible experience. One has to climb stairs upto half a kilometre. Manki Point is the highest peak in Kasauli. This point provides a complete view of the plains of the Chandigarh region and the river Sutlej flowing through the valleys. According to mythology, Hanumanji had put his foot here while carrying the Sanjeevani Booti to save Laxman ji.
The place is managed by the Army. No phones, cameras and any other electronic gadgets allowed. Such items have to be deposited at the entry.

Awesome place and the Hanuman Ji Temple . Breathtaking views . At the top of the mountain . Maintained well by Air force . Restricted entry . Belongings and cell phone etc not allowed after the Forces Gate . Take very small bag if required . You can keep the things in locker at the entry gate. Climb the stairs slowly and you can easily reach the temple. Must visit if you are in Kasauli.

I visited this temple with my family on the last day of 2k19 and had a wonderful time there.
Since the mandir premises are inside an Airforce controlled zone, it was well maintained and was clean through out.
A few tips while visiting this mandir-
a. Mobile phones and cameras are not allowed and will have to be kept in the locker outside the main security gate.
b. Food items of any kind are not allowed inside. Though there is a small cafe downstairs which can serve Maggi, light snacks and tea/coffee in retreat from Mandir.
c. Monkeys are a menace there and just be aware and don’t play around with them. Security personnels accompany visitors to the top in batches.
d. There are a number of concrete steps that need to be crossed to reach the mandir. It takes around 20 mins to reach there.
Do visit this place as the look and view from the top of the mandir is really marvellous.

approx 500-600 , its straight climbing . you will get few resting point in between but not sufficient as many people climbs up simultaneously . Not recommended with kids and old age parents . Also beware with Monkeys as they are very notorious and follow you for long time if you have some food stuff .

How far is this place from Mall Road? How to reach this place? Any Auto/Rickshaw available?

No auto/rikshaw allowed in aany hill station. There are predefined charges for local taxi by union. Or you need to hire your own personal taxi.
This point isbit far from mall road but cannot walk. Because after a restricted entry you need to walk and staircases to the point. It will take 2 hours.
Also the temple entry will close at 4:30pm
