The famous Bala Murugan Temple at Thirumanikundram, Ratangiri is a very pious place for tranquility and divinity. The Temple has high positive vibes…high range of spirituality can be felt here. One can bring positive energy after praying Lord Bala Murugan and spending some time here…neat and clean too! The Temple was constructed in 14th century by renowned poet Arunagirinathar.

We took our car directly to the top of the hill. A decent car parking is available. The temple was not that crowded and we took 10min to have the darshan of Lord Muruga. View from the top of the hill is great

This temple from inception is nurtured by Bala Murugan adimai a saint who wears only a piece of cloth to cover his private part all through . A sidha purush he has developed this temple as a must visit place. Beautiful temple, oozes with divinity . All lord subramaniya festivals are celebrated with proper rituals and people believe their prayers are answered . Pl visit to get Get divine blessings of lord Muruga and Swamiji

Just located outside the main Vellore city, built on a hillock, this temple gives an absolute sense of peace and devotion. The temple architecture is beautiful with amazing paintings on the ceiling, walls and pillars. We were there during the afternoon arati and it felt so nice to hear the prayers, the bells, drums and see the glimpses of Lord Kartika alongwith other devotees. A visit to this temple is worth in all means.

This is located on the National Highway about 12 Kms from Vellore when you travel towards chennai. The temple is on top of a hillock (about 150 -200 steps). You can spend about 1 or 2 hours and complete the Darshan.

When I reached the bottom of the hill it was around 7.30 and I was in a hurry thinking that temple will get closed by 8 pm. When I went to buy the mala ( Garland ) that flower vendor confirmed that the temple will close by 8.30 pm only.i got relieved and purchased one Garland to my favorite God lord Muruga.
The temple was illuminated with Led lamps and stairs are decorated with stainless steel decorative structures. All stairs did not stare me. I just jumped and started to climb. No tired. Gained more energy. After 200 steps I was there.first vinayakar sannidhi.then shanmugar. Then some more steps.finally the main God with valli and deivanai. Very large sannidhi. Beautiful appearance. Pl try to visit atleast once and enjoy the dharshan

A Powerful Hill, where Lord Balamurugan showers HIS Blessings to all the pilgrims. The Greatest Hill temple was built and maintained by Swamiji Balamurugan Adimai.
I use to visit temple whenever Lord Balamurugan intimates / calls me. I feel very happy to visit and attend Abhisekam of Lord Murugan by 5.30 pm to 7 pm. It is a opportunity given to me by Lord Muruga. Chennai to Kilminnal is 2 hours travel by roadways.
His words " Kaalamarivan, Karunaipurivaan, Rathinagiriyan...
Swami Balamurugan says, " Ofcoarse our efforts may be, But without his Grace of Lord Muruga, nothing could be done by us"
The powerful Shrine is present in this small hill temple.

You can step up a few minutes, or you can pay to drive up to the temple side parking.
Neither way is a big deal.
The temple itself seems to have some history.
At the same time, the current status is new and clean.
