I enjoyed the stay including a wlk around the gardens in the morning. There were very few guests currently at the hotel (corona virus fears?). The restaurant at the hotel was OK with a large selection of items.

The restaurant did provide Muslims' section and halal/non halal labels.
Experienced DIY soap activity at night.
Beautiful room and surroundings, but got no wifi if you're staying in the cottage-like room.

This is one of the best resort hotels I have stayed.....serene surroundings covered with trees, ponds, plants and vegetable sheds. Taking a walk around the hotel before breakfast was breathe taking with fresh air and awesome views. It was like walking in a tropical forest. Breakfast which was included in the room rate had a wide spread ( mostly Taiwanese dishes) and the taste was Ok.The well furnished room was clean and spacious. We opted for a room with hot spring pools. It was a memorable experience being able to soak in a hot spring pool in the privacy of your hotel room. It was worth the extra paid for the hot spring room.Service by staff was friendly and their comprehension of English passable. As there are many activities organized in the hotel surrounding, this is an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate. There are no 7/11 or convenience shops around the hotel and I recommend you purchase all your supplies in Puli ( the nearest town) before checking in.

As an overnight stop on the local ANEW7 tour package, we arrived at about 2.30pm in the afternoon.
The staff were friendly.
We were led on a short 200m or so tour around the place, to our room at the flower lodge, then to the crafts room where we made leaf prints on a canvas bag as souvenirs.
After the craft session ended around 3.30 pm, we tried to book a fruit picking tour, as it was stated in our package as an "own expense" itinerary, only to be told pre-booking is required. We were unable to buy passion fruits at the store owned by the farm even though during the crafts session, the trainee guide was sent to pick passion fruits. There was no fruit to speak of, maybe a piece of apple in the salad at dinner. Dessert was almond pudding or something similar. Papaya and watermelon were available at breakfast. The papaya was sweet, but served in halves, with awkward cuts and trimming here and there. A sign that it's organically grown, maybe?
Should have bought some dragon fruits and other seasonal fruits along the way to Sun Moon lake that morning. The local produce is fresh and looks really good. It's really a huge disappointment to be at a farm that offers self pick and not being to get fruits at all.
We were not given an option of a longer guided tour even though the guide who led us to the room mentioned that a longer tour is available for groups interested in botany. Perhaps it's because we're a party of 2 and not a large group?
The first bottle of mosquito repellent was just before the crafts area, at the end of our guided walk and after we've been bitten many times, all over. To make matters worse, it was almost empty, barely squirting any lemongrass scented repellent at all.
NOTE: Bring your own or ask for some when you enter, not when you come across some at the end of the walk.
The store owned by the farm didn't have much snacks option, nothing compared to the night markets, fancy malls and 5 star hotels of the preceding 3 nights we've enjoyed. We walked down to the nearby shops across the street, towards the parking area. There's a tea roasting and packing facility, no convenience store though. We were tempted to take a bus to Puli, the nearest town, supposedly 10 minutes away but didn't see any buses passing by.
Dinner is served at 6pm. While adequate, if given a choice, I won't be eating there. There's nori wrapped sprouts was decent and fresh tasting. The salad, soup, fried chicken parts, fried pork trotters, a vegetable dish and almond pudding dessert were mediocre. There's a fried vermicelli dish that's good. No one ate the steamed rice. I was expecting dishes highlighting various fresh fruits or vegetables. There wasn't attention to plating or presentation, you'll be better off at just about any decent joint in Taiwan, of which there are plenty.
There's no other activities available. There's a few hoop shooting coin operated machines and kiddy rides, and a vending machine. There's an empty pub/bar with no band or music.
We did ask our Taiwan tour guide, a few nights before arriving if there's an option of a hot spring room but we were told it'll be at the listed price.
We slept at around 8.30pm, waking to scratch occasionally. We're still itching 4 days later.
I did get some lantana, which smells like passion fruit, with the guide's approval that I'm trying to root.

The room was big and we'll maintained. The hotspring bath tub was big enough for the entire family to enjoy together. The smell of every part of the hotel is infused with the flowery and fruits that are grown within the resort.

The resort is clean and beautiful. When I enter the room, there’s a huge teddy bear to liven the whole room. It’s also equipped with a big hot spring inside the room. It’s awesome!! The resort is also filled with lots of flowers. We got a lantern making session there too.

The park area isnt attractive. The staffs for the bee show didnt demonstrate anything but promoted the honey only. Once we showed not interested in the honey, they didnt care about us at once without manner.
Anyway, the fruit picking activity was fine. The staffs told us there would be more passion fruits to pick if we were there 1 week later.
You can see some birds and swans.
I wont suggest you to drive long there. It isnt worth.
The house on water is interesting but we cant book it online.
