It is a good drive up then a quick walk to the top. Great views from there and plenty of chances of photos.
There are wild monkeys, stay away from them. Do not put down any belongings as the monkeys may grab them.
Heaps of tourists there but plenty of space to walk around.
On the trip up you will see elephants chained up for training to give rides to people - we did not ride them and think they should not be chained up

Beautiful, stunning!!! It's the must see of Phuket. There is a trek through the jungle down if you're feeling brave enough bht has ropes and sticks to help support you - just wear good shoes! Lots of sea view cafes which you have to go to 5 minutes from the Buddha which is a lovely place to go to after and then getting a grab home!

The sun was shining brightly as I took the first step up the winding path to the top of the hill. I had heard many tales about the famous statue that resided atop the hill and I was eager to finally see it for myself.
As I made my way up, I began to understand why the statue was so renowned. The craftsmanship was beautiful and intricate, and the detail was incredible.
I continued on my journey, and eventually made it to the top. The statue was even more magnificent than I had imagined. Its powerful presence was captivating and humbling. I couldn't help but feel a sense of respect for it.

Breathtaking views of Phuket, the still being developed temple is a place to really take in the beauty of Thailand. I really enjoyed the area they have for people to meditate with the monks. It was truly peaceful. There are some stores and grocery stores downstairs, it would be nice if they had a small restaurant or cafeteria. I highly recommend visiting this place when you are in Phuket.

Vet ikke hva som skjedde, men her fikk jeg ro i kroppen. Dro oppover langt etter midnatt med tuk-tuk, det virket som det var åpent til langt på natt. Ta av skoene, og slå av ringelyder på mobilen. Meget flott opplevelse, noe jeg vil huske for alltid. Flott utsikt.

Mieliśmy okazje zwiedzić Big Budda, sama budowla piękna, majestatyczna, godna polecenia. Rozprzestrzeniający się widok na okolicę. Konieczne zasłonięcie ramion, aby wejść (możliwość zakupu chustki na miejscu) lub można zarzucić dowolne ubranie na siebie. WAŻNE: planując podróż wynajmij kierowcę w dwie strony (jest parking dla oczekujacych kierowców). Na miejscu okazuje sie, że powrót w to samo miejsce z tamtejszym taksówkarzem jest 3x droższy. Nie da sie z nimi negocjować, dobrze wiedza, ze nie masz innego wyjscia. Jest api BOLT, ale kierowcy po 20 minutach oczekiwania odwołują kursy.

Very zen and calm temple.
Despite low season in Apr, there is still a lot of tourists. Love the smiley Buddha statue. There are a lot of monkeys there. Just beware not to feed them else you may get hurt.

We're staying at Amari Hotel in Patong - we want to visit Big Buddha but maybe not as part of trip due to limited time. How far would it be in tuk tuk or taxi and roughly how much? Thanks

Если ехать к открытию, то застанете рассвет и практически пустую достопримечательность. Мало народу будет часов до 9. В час пик много людей, но уже на месте священнослужители, открыты торговые лавки. Выбор за вами!
