L'ensemble Roppongi Hills mérite assurément une visite. Il y a de tout, comme souvent à Tokyo, dans un seul endroit: des magasins de toutes catégories, des restaurants offrant à peu près tout ce qu'on peut désirer, et l'on ajoute un musée important, un toit visitable avec une vue imprenable, et des jardins de toute beauté. Il doit aussi y avoir du logement et des bureaux, pour compléter le tout. C'est beau, ça a été au top du modernisme, mais l'ensemble commence un peu à accuser le poids des années.

Very convenience because they have many restaurants and shops.
I often go there for shopping, watch some movies, and having things.

Business district and a very upmarket area with high rise buildings. Many expats live around here. Reminds me of Canary Wharf in London. Nice shops, very upmarket. Clean and well kept. Lovely eateries and bars as well. Go earlier in the day as it becomes a bit dead later in the evening when most of the workers have left. The area can also become a little seedy and isolated. There is a cinema, art museum and other things on the premises. If you want to get away from the noise and chaotic streets of Shibuya and Shinjuku then this is a good option. Easy to connect to Roppongi Metro station.

Das Einkaufszentrum ist wie jedes andere in Tokyo: Man findet jeden Luxus-Tand, den man immer schon nicht haben wollte.
Die eigentliche Attraktion des Gebäudes liegt im 51. Stock. Dort residiert der Roppongi Hills Club, members only, mit einen erstklassigen Restaurant. Von dort hast man wohl den besten Blick über die Stadt.

Bring a lot of money as this place is for the those who like the finder things in life. The only thing I bought was a box of band aides at the Tonods drug store. Definitely not those of us who travel on a budget or aren’t all that interested in designer shops.
The outside areas are nice for a roam, but that was it for me.

We visited this area after dark on New Year’s Eve with the kids, but found the area quite seedy due to the local pubs and nightclubs in the area. Although it didn’t feel unsafe, I’d suggest this is not suitable for young families after dark.

完全にオノボリさんです。
地下鉄からの→のお陰で無事到着。
お目当ては大屋根広場で開催されているクリスマスマーケット。
人の流れに乗って見つけましたが狭いエリアに大行列。
いつ入店できるともわからない状態なので諦めました。
並んでいる方は若いカップルが多かったですね。
個人的にはカルティエ店舗やツリー、カルティエ座が気になりました。

Roppongi Hills is a fabulous place for window shopping and it also has Tokyo City View, a great observation deck from which you can view the city.
Plenty of high end shops in Roppongi Hills but the best is surely the gorgeous dog hotel with on-site grooming area. A pet lover’s paradise.

平日の昼間だった所為もあってか、もっと混雑しているかと思ったのですが高級ブティックが並ぶ一角は閑散としていました。昼時ともなればカフェやレストランはランチを摂る人達でそれなりに利用者がありましたが、利用者層は異なるようでした。猶、6Fエリアの郵便局はコンスタントに利用者がありました。

Is there much of a wait to go up to the top level and look around? Was thinking of going in the afternoon (maybe have a drink with some friends while I'm there) if its not a matter of standing in line for hours.

There is no such thing going up the hill and wait.
You can freely go anywhere and stop by anywhere for drink.
It's an area for leisurely walk at your own pace.
