We did with my fiancé the Matsu plan for two people on the morning of the 12th of May 2024 and it was truly the best experience we had of our entire trip in Tokyo! The studio team was wonderful and very professional! They did an amazing job and the pictures came out incredible! Taro Nakamura sensei was so friendly and educational! He explained the history of the armours and the meaning of each piece. It was such an honour to see Tateki Matsuura sensei's demonstration of sword drawing and kata! He was really kind and patient and taught us the basics of sword drawing! The whole experience was so fun, so interesting and just "Kakkoii"!!!
I highly recommend the Sengoku photo studio to anyone who wants to make a fantastic memory as a samurai!

It was a very good samurai experience. I got to wear the armour of my favourite samurai Date Masamune. All the staff are very friendly and professional. I learned a lot, especially how to use the katana sword. Thank you very much. どうもありがとうございます

It was a wonderful experience with a wonderful team. They speak well in english and I learn so much things with them ! They do everything they can to make the customer comfortable and to give him great memories. Thank you to all of you !

The owner of the store,also the seventh generation samurai, has extensive experience. He helped customer to put on fully realistic metal armor, guide photo poses with details, and uses various props to guide the customer in movie-like movements. The lighting and photography techniques are also very professional, creating a perfect and very unique photography experience. It is worth recommending to everyone.

Absolutely amazing! My husband loved this experience so much. The staff were so helpful and knowledgable and we were made to feel very welcome and special. The armour itself was fantastic quality and my husband was able to choose which of many styles he wanted to wear. The photos produced were very high quality and we had one of the best experiences in Tokyo! This is a must do activity for anyone visiting!

It was so authentic! It was so much fun! You could wear armor that looked just like the real thing and take realistic photos. The sword training was also so authentic. After all, you could receive direct instruction from a teacher who teaches sword fighting in TV dramas. It was the best day ever.

Our family recently had two incredible photoshoot experiences at Sengoku Photo Studio Samurai. From start to finish, everything was beyond our expectations, leaving us with not only fantastic souvenir photos but also cherished memories. Amazing experience and amazing staff. The quality of the armor is fantastic!
A very special experience if you are into japanese traditional culture, and even more if you are interested in samurais. They explain you the different parts of the armor and teach you basic katana movements.
We had a great time and we strongly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tokyo!

I was looking to have an immersive Samurai experience. And boy did I found a fantastic place. From the start communication was prompt and timely. The place is a little out of the way. Google map to the rescue.
But what makes this place unique and great are the staff. From sensei Tateki Matsuura, who took the time to go over sword handling and the director Taro Nakamura who made me look good and went over the history and meaning of the different armor. They were all very pleasant and great to work with. Love the people and the pics came out great.
Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to create a great experience and something to take back and remember Japan.

They did have child sized armor to wear but I would email/call them to make sure they have something that would fit him or her.

If I choose the Kiri plan, how would you give me the movie video and the digital photos? Can it be send via email? Also how much would it cost to have the picture printed on a mug?

Thank you for your inquiry.
We will upload KIRI plan photos and movie to drop box. You can download from there.
Also, together with the CD-ROM, I will pass the picture and movie data.
Mugs can be made with an additional 2100 yen.
Please add the printed material to the staff as it is available at the studio on that day.
I am waiting for your visit.
