Beautiful and clean. Beautiful adthaan can be heard every prayer, it feels so calming. Has a women's area to pray for any sisters.
If you're unaware of islam, we pray 5 times a day and the mosque does a call to prayer at each time so people are aware of when to go to the mosque. The first prayer of the day is at sunrise hence the comments about it being very early.
To all those who don't like the idea adthaan being called out don't go to Muslim areas...? It's a common thing even in the UK if you've ever been to a mosque you can hear the adthaan from nearby. Due to noise laws for ANYTHING of course you don't hear these in the evening and sunrise.
If you're in any hotel near ao nang beach you can't sleep from the music. The 1 minute adthaan is barely something to bother you if you can sleep through night club music.
Please do your research before you go to areas that you are unfamiliar with and be sensitive to the people around you. People in Thailand are so loving and tolerant it's terrible to see westerns come and make horrific comments about the diversity here. Just stay home!

Comments like “annoying for everyone nearby,” “can’t sleep in a hotel anywhere near this place,” and descriptions of the call to prayer as “horrific war sounds” are not only disrespectful but also reveal a lack of understanding and tolerance for cultural differences. The call to prayer is a peaceful and significant practice for Muslims, and dismissing it as noise is a display of cultural insensitivity.
Similarly, remarks about “shady persons” around the mosque are baseless and offensive, perpetuating harmful stereotypes without any real basis. It's crucial to understand that the mosque, situated halfway through town on the main street, reflects the way of life for many in this community. The area around the mosque, influenced by Muslim traditions, including the absence of alcohol in nearby restaurants, is a reflection of the local culture, which should be respected and appreciated, not criticized.
Yes, the call to prayer can be heard from over 2 km away, as it is meant to be inclusive and a reminder of faith to those who practice Islam. However, experiencing a town's culture—whether through its food, architecture, or religious practices—is a part of traveling and understanding different ways of life. Instead of viewing it as an intrusion, it should be seen as an opportunity to learn and embrace the diversity that makes Ao Nang and Krabi unique.

We first spotted this impressive religious building as we drove by it as we arrived in Ao Nang on the 13th January. It is located along 4203, Tambon Ao Nang,
The following day, we walked by this Mosque and stopped to admire the building. A Mosque or Masjid is a place of prayer for Muslims.
As we are not members of the Muslim religion it would have been inappropriate and disrespectful of us to try and enter the building, so we only viewed it from outside.
There are four tall minarets, on each corner of the building, each topped with a small bulbous golden dome. At the centre of the Mosque there is a vast golden dome.
As we walked towards the Mosque it's five golden domes glistened in the wonderful sunshine.
The following day, we walked by this Mosque and stopped to admire the building. A Mosque or Masjid is a place of prayer for Muslims.

Bâtiment récent dans aucun intérêt architectural, très kitch et de mauvais goût … le soir avec des illuminations type Walt Disney… mais en pire … la sono , a fond, « crache » 5 fois par jour les appels à la « prière » …

Just annoying for everyone nearby.
Cant sleep in a Hotel anywhere near this place. Starts at 5 am. With horrific war sounds and Ende at midnight.
Stay away. Shady persons around this place.

Sono stato nella zona della Moschea di Ao Nang in occasione del mio recente viaggio in Thailandia in compagnia della mia fidanzata.
La Moschea era molto vicino all'hotel in cui abbiamo pernottato, anch'esso di chiara connotazione islamica. La zona antistante è caratterizzata da alcune bancarelle che vendono cibo cucinato al momento, una vera goduria per i golosi.
Noi abbiamo mangiato del kebab ottimo, arrosticini, patatine, il tutto davvero con 4 spiccioli e sentendoci parte integrante della cultura Thai, infatti ci siamo seduti con i cittadini del posto in alcune aree adibite per consumare i cibi appena acquistati.
Consiglio vivamente una rapida passeggiata, non ve ne pentirete (soprattutto per il cibo).

went there for prayers, about 20-30 mins walk from ao-nang beach. excellent mosque very clean, excellent wudu facilities, not very crowded, large area on 2 floors, separate entrance for females. lots of halal eateries outside the masjid on the main road

At night the mosque is so beautiful. you can hear the adhaan if you are nearby and the mosque is quite large.

Mäktig moské centralt placerad vid huvudgata och nära hotell. Vacker på kvällen med skiftande ljusbelysning. Men gubben som har ont i magen flera ggr. om dan kan vara Väldigt störande för närboende och Hotellvägen.

15 minutes walking down hill, say 20 mins walking from the beach area up the hill. My advise is take a tut tut up the hill ( 50 baht max) and walk back down the hill.

Krabi Cha Da also located near to the Mosque, but this hotel is not Muslim's Friendly Hotel and serves Non Halal Food on their Breakfast Menu's. Marina Express Fisherman Hotel located just next to the Mosque and Ibis Style in the opposite road.
