There are many hiking trails within Bocawina that you can do on your own. You can hike up the the falls without a guide no problem. If you are into adventure I would highly recommend you do the rapping excursion...

Can one visit Bocawina and get waterfall views without the treacherous hike? Just want to enjoy some nature, without hiking as we've had a full week of adventures in Belize. Thanks.

Yes. You can hike in the jungle and not have a strenuous hike. There is a pathway that can get near the waterfall without needed rappel to return. Hope this helps. Lots of interesting jungle activity happening, like leaf cutter ants, etc.

Hi there. I'm coming with a friend in January and am wondering if there are waterfalls we can see that don't require a lot of climbing. My friend can walk forever but has a lung condition that prevents climbing for long distances. Any recommendations? Directions, if so? Thanks!

Can you easily drive from Hopkins to Bocawina with a regular car? We want to take advantage of having our rental car and booking our adventures ourselves. Is this possible or do we have to go with a tour group?

When I went the road had just been graded so a regular car con work but if you plan on coming during the rainy season, I might suggest getting a car with some elevation and possibly 4x4. Hope this was helpful. You don't need a guide or to go with a group.
