The Ha Giang loop tour is great! We did the 4 day tour with hiking - absolutely amazing time! Our tour guide Hieu was top notch and was able to answer any questions we had. He went above and beyond making sure we were all safe during the trip! Thanks again Hieu for the amazing trip!

Did an amazing 3D2N loop tour with drivers of Dragon Team & it was the best trip I’ve done so far in Vietnam. We were a small group of 3 but they took amazing care of us, showed us some sideroads off the usual tracks taken by the tours. It was foggy the 1st day of tour due to previous day/night of downpours but 2nd & 3rd days were sunnier & clear. The panoramic views were unlike any I’ve seen, just breathtaking. I’m a solo female 68 yr old & my driver Sinh was such a competent & safe driver, very helpful & patient with me getting on & off the bike as I’m not that tall, kudos to him 100%. The other two drivers Bombi (I think) & Minh were also great. The choice of homestays were good also. I highly recommend The Dragon Team in Ha Giang, Vietnam for their competence, safety & love of the road that they showed.

We just finished the tour and it was awesome!! We hired two easy riders for our 4d/3n. Great drivers, amazing landscapes and very good accomodation

What a trip! What an experience! For us the highlight of our Vietnam trip. Driving around freely gazing across the rugged Karst mountains on a semi-automatic motorcycle. Highly recommend to do this trip now as it still is somehow off-the-beaten track and no doubt to do it with Bike Tour Ha Giang. Hieu knows the nicest route and little places, and gives several options for your overnight stay (homestay or guesthouse). He neatly adapts the driving speed for those who are a bit inexperienced (like us). Hieu also promptly and profoundly answers all your questions via e-mail or WhatsApp in very good English. He is also setting up a homestay in Ha Giang, which could be very convenient at the start or end of the trip. Bike Tour Ha Giang is a small but solid family business, therefore no extra middlemen costs, in short the perfect QPR!

Last weekend we went on the shan tea tour. We started the tour on saturday after lunch. First we drove two hour to the homestay we would spend the night. The drive was really good with beautiful views. After arriving at our accomodation for the weekend we had free time. We walked with two students to the little town. It was really nice to see how the families live in ha giang. Everybody knows each other, which is so much different to where I live. After visiting the town we walked back to the homestay. There we had a great diner. It tasted really good. The next activity was making tea. This was very informative. Before we came to ha giang we didn’t know that tea so famous is in Vietnam. We learned so much more about the tea. After that is was time to taste the tea and then to sleep. After a good sleep we were treated to a good breakfast. After breakfast we did a hike to the tea plants. It was a tough hike but really fun. After hiking we went fishing. It was cool to see how the locals fish. It is very different to what I know. We also saw how they cleaned out the fish before cooking. Everything that people eat here is from their own land. All the food is fresh and so much tasty. After that we ate the fish we caught in afternoon. There was also lots of tea. Around 2 Pm we headed back to town. The first meters of the drive were really bad for passenagera. So we walked a lot but it was again really fun. When we were on the road to drive the view was again really amazing. I really enjoyed the ride. All with all it was a great and thoughtful weekend. I really enjoyed it.

While we were in Ha Giang we thought we would try something different to just doing the loop that most tourists do.
We set off on with the team, on the back of their motorbikes, up into the deepest mountains of Ha Giang. The journey up was much rougher than the route that most tourists are exposed to on the loop (which meant there were a few sections where we needed to get off the back of the bike and walk) but also incredibly picturesque with fantastic views and journeys through isolated villages occupied by people from some of North Vietnam's ethnic groups. It was certainly a journey to remember.
This took us to our homestay nestled in the top of the mountains, surrounded by Shan Tea trees and the stunning nature of Ha Giang. The place was without WiFi; giving us 24 hours to disconnect and fully immerse ourselves in our surroundings. Following our arrival, we wandered back down into the village to see how the people live and to get closer to the surrounding beauty. This was an unforgettable experience; particularly in our questionable attempts to speak with the locals.
Following this, we were treated to dinner and a variety of Shan Tea with our hosts and the team. Dinner was a traditional Ha Giang family style meal, shared between all of us with plenty of rice, meat, vegetables and happy water! We were certainly pleasantly full by the end of that!
The final act of the day was the main event, a demonstration of how the Shan Tea leaves are turned into what we had been drinking throughout the evening. Seeing a Vietnamese master tea maker work his craft and produce Chinese style and Bamboo tea so effortlessly, with only traditional tools available. It truly was breathtaking to witness.
After a good night’s sleep at the homestay we were taken up for a hike further in the mountains to see where the Shan Tea leaves are harvested from. The walk up the mountain was exhausting but certainly worth it. Seeing the trees where the leaves from the night before were grown was really interesting. The views were incredible also.
After another traditional Ha Giang meal for lunch, we headed back down to town to finish our trip. All in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience available to anyone who wants to see something more than just the loop in Ha Giang.

Het is altijd een beetje voorzichtig zijn met georganiseerde tours te boeken in het buitenland. Als we ergens geen spijt van hadden was het dit wel! Wat een ervaring!
Hieu is een oprecht vriendelijke en super aangename gids. Hij zorgt ervoor dat je de echte Vietnam-ervaring hebt en dat je je nergens zorgen over hoeft te maken. Deze trip zijn drie dagen gegarandeerd fun en genot!

The first night we arrived I was feeling a bit sick, badly in need of some good night sleep. We arrived and were offered some delicious food. We felt welcome the first day we arrived. After a good night rest and feeling better, we contacted Hiếu (guide) to ask if we could do the tour the next day. No problem whatsoever..Hiếu came by around midday and asked if we would like to see the city Ha Giang and a waterfall. Of course we said! Everything looked beautiful. Afterwards we enjoyed some delicous food again and talked about how we were gonna do the tour. Hiếu (who speaks really good english) told us that it was no problem starting a day later and it was best to do the tour in 3 days. So the next morning on we went. In a couple of hours we were getting higher into the mountains and, my oh my, what an amazing beauty. We have never seen such amazing views. Hiếu teached us a lot about Vietnam history, the places, culture and meaning. He is one of the best tour guides we ever had. And has a great knowledge of Vietnam. That night we slept in a really good homestay, in between the mountains in a bungelow. WOW! We ate with locals and had a really good night of sleep. The next day we continued the tour towards China border. Higher up into the mountains and stopping at some beautiful places again Sleeping again in a comfy homestay. The locals started dancing on Vietnamese music. So we were offered to come dancing in traditional clothing. Amazing. Of course we started dancing! The last day we continued driving down roads through local villages and stopped at a local market. We knew that this day was coming to an end. What also meant the end of our journey in Ha Giang. Immediately we felt that this was an experience we would never forget.
The end of the day we came back to the homestay and were still a bit flabbergasted about what we have seen. Hiếu does such an amazing job showing the right places, helping us out buying some traditional clothing and he teached us so much about Vietnam. It was unfortunate that we didn’t have more time to see Ha Giang. But we definitely want to come back and do the tour again. We will always remember this journey. Thank you so much Hiếu!!!

en voyant hieu j'étais confiante et j'ai bien fait !
conduite prudente
obligés de faire demi tour, il est resté vraiment adorable
trop de brouillard on n'a absolument rien vu
mais c'est le meilleur moment passé au vietnam jusqu'ici
thieu est rès courageux , bonne personne, je conseille à tous
cam on hieu!!!
