Two adults, one teen and a twelve year old. Had lots of fun. Solved the wishmaster with 4 minutes to go.
Took us a bit to figure out what we were doing. Used the hint book and asked the hanenaster for help twice.
Now we are ready for the next adventure.

We had a great time! We were close to escaping but just ran out of time. The staff are excellent and explained everything very well. We were in the 66 motel which was very well done. Had us on our toes the entire time. Would definitely try one of the other rooms on our next visit.

My family had a blast at Horror Escape Room! Jerry was awesome-sauce! We died a miserable death and still had a great time. It was a little scary for my 9 yr old, but she came out smiling ear to ear.

I had such an amazing time with my friends at Horror Escape, even if we didn’t survive! Our game host, Jerry, was incredibly friendly and made the experience even more fun than it already was.

This was so much fun!! Have now done 2 out of the three rooms here and they were both very cool and detailed.
Gamemaster Jerry was such a highlight, she is so welcoming and friendly and helpful!

We’d love to give more stars because they seem like great folks who work hard on their rooms. However we have done a lot of rooms in other cities and can’t go any higher than a 3/5. We did 2 rooms while we were visiting. The puzzles in the rooms aren’t particularly elegant or intuitive, so you always find yourself needing the “hints” on the iPads which amount to just instructions for the puzzles more than hints really. We’d rather have seen them be a bit more solvable without the iPad accompaniment or have the instructions built in as part of the stories. Some of the black light paint needs a refresh and there was a broken puzzle we were there. They’re also only 45 mins as opposed to most others which are a standard hour for a similar price. There were some neat effects though for sure and the stories were good. There were also a few very neat individual puzzles in each room though also a few forgettable ones too. Worth checking out if you have some free time but not among the best in other cities.

The room itself was AWESOME and very well put together! It was super spooky and challenging + some of the effects were so cool, but Mike, the man helping us, definitely lowered the experience. He lacked enthusiasm and generally seemed annoyed and pissed at our group when we asked for help, which was surprising as other female workers I’d met were super nice and helpful. The way he treated my group was disappointing. I think part of the experience largely includes the customer service and how engaging and respectful the person helping you is, which was severely lacking. I’ve enjoyed horror escape in the past but I’m not sure me or my friends will be returning after this which is definitely a shame because the room was amazing :/

Really disappointed. No props. Had I not known it was a motel room we were entering i wouldn't have known. We had no idea why we were in the room either, bo back story. There was a headboard screwed on the wall and a phone on a box. Very easy to tell what is needed for clues. The second room had some props, buy by that time we were already not happy with the experience.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your experience. The name of the room is Motel 66 so I'm not sure how you would be confused about the theme? Hopefully you come back and try our other rooms as we do see very few complaints about difficulty and decor. I'd recommend the House of Occult that is fantastic and has our lowest survival rate!

I’ve been here around 5 times and done 2 of the rooms (multiple attempts) and it’s always amazing!! So much fun and the staff are so so kind :)

We stumbled across Horror Escape accidentally but are super glad we did! We had an awesome time doing Motel 66 and even stayed to do the Occult room after! Nathan was extremely friendly and helpful and really helped to elevate our overall experience. We'll be back soon to do the Doll House!

The rooms are more creepy than outright scary, but there are actors on select weekend nights! Also, check their website as some of their rooms are more scary than others!

Are kids allowed at this attraction (9 & 10)? They can take being "spooked", but would enjoy the escape challenge while in Victoria.

Yes. The person there gave examples of kids younger than 10 going there without issues. There is nothing too gory or scary. The lights are very dim and if you choose to have scare actors would be the main things but nothing serious.

should we do the barn or the house? Which is scariest?
They are both unique and creepy! Gacy's House is a bit bigger for larger groups, and the success rate for Gacy's is lower at this point in time, however both rooms will offer the same types of riddles and challenges.
