Torul is a small town on the main road from Trabzon to Gümüşhane. The observation platform is signposted from the west end of the town. We had 3 satellite navigation systems between us and each gave the wrong location.
The steep road up has sharp corners but is well surfaced. There is a large car park. Refreshments and toilets are available. The 15TL fee is good value.
It is strange to be walking out on glass hundreds of meters above the value floor. Spectacular views.

Torul is a town of Gümüşhane Province in the Black Sea region of Turkey. Population is about 4000. It’s famous for Torul Glass Observation Terrace: a glass of about 15*15 m square. Entrance ticket is TL 15. Great view from the top and the bottom. Deserve a visit. It’s fine to walk on a glass, but still many people get scared. Don’t forget to take a picture with the big flag.
