Na te zijn opgehaald bij ons resort zijn we naar de sanctuary gereden. Daar aangekomen hebben we uitleg gekregen over de olifanten en mochten we de 2 olifanten voeren. De 3e liep ergens verderop in het park. Ze zijn gestopt met modderbaden geven met touristen omdat deze voor teveel stress zouden zorgen. Ik heb geen moment het idee gehad dat deze olifanten gedwongen werden om wat te doen. Na het eten en de uitleg hebben we ballen gemaakt welke we later mee zouden nemen tijdens een wandeling van een uur door het park. Er werd de tijd genomen en de beesten werden goed behandeld. Was zeker een fijne ervaring welke ik iedereen zou aanraden. Erg vriendelijk personeel en service. Bedankt!

Ce sanctuaires à éléphants est vraiment super , il les soignent et prennent soin d’eux .. les éléphants sont doux et tellement affectueux, un bonheur de les câliner et les laver pour ensuite les nourrir.

We spent 2 hours at the elephant sanctuary and it was amazing. They had two old elephant ladies, they were rescued from the wood industry and the circus. First they informed us about the story of the elephants, after this we prepared food for them and went on a 15min walk through the habitat of the sanctuary, while giving them the food we prepared. The elephants are treated well in this sanctuary they have lots of space to go into the forest and can live a good life here. So it’s worth a visit to support this sanctuary and give these animals the chance to have a good life.

The staff were nice. The elephants are docile and gentle. There is a beautiful view and we took a lot of pictures. At the end there was a delicious dessert

What a wonderful experience! It’s so nice to see how the staff care for the elephants and that the animal welfare always come first.
Ploy told us lots of information about the animals and spoke very good English. We learned about the elephant’s backgrounds and got to spend lots of time with them, feeding and walking with them. We made them some tasty protein cakes and at the end we got some tasty pancakes ourselves!
As with the rest of Thailand, staff were very chilled and happy to answer any questions and let us feed/stroke the elephants as much as we wanted.
10/10 experience and it made us so happy!
The area where the sanctuary is located is absolutely stunning and we would also recommend a trip to the close by temple where you can see monkeys and walk into a cave.

It was a fantastic 90min we spend with Khao Sok Elephant Sanctuary. We had a great guide who brought the life story of two elephants on very engaging way. We were searching to find a fully responsible Sanctuary and we found it.

One of the best experiences we have ever had. The two elephants on-site are retired working elephants both with a sad back story. You can still see the scars from the hooks used on them previously. Our guide ‘Ploy’ explained that they used to offer the elephant bathing experience here and I can see from some of the reviewers photos that they did them in 2018/19 but they no longer offer this as part of the tour due to it being unnatural and distressing to the elephants. This company is one of the only companies I can see that really care for the elephants well-being and want the best for them. They have 3 acres of land to roam in and are regularly taken further into the jungle. They are looked after so well. We fed them on arrival whilst Ploy told us more about them. Then we were taken to make some “power balls” food, which was mix of bran and other things Elephants need. We then went out to walk with the elephants, feeding them as we went. It was a real hands on experience and we felt in safe hands the whole time. My 8 year old daughter didn’t want to leave them. A fantastic ethical sanctuary- I highly recommend.

We enjoyed our visit to this sanctuary very much! Great guides and amazing 2 elephants! We loved walking with them, even though it started porring rain, they thought of everything for us: umbrellas, boots! It’s worth a visit!

Incredible experience!! We got to spend 90minutes with 2 elephants feeding and walking with them. Very educational, and a lovely sanctuary for the elephants!!

A fantastic experience and kids enjoyed a lot. We booked with one of the shop when roaming around Khao-sok. Hotel guys were asking a lot of money but local shop provided good deal. This was end to end arranged, cab picked us from hotel and drop back with all the fun activity.
You can enjoy very dense forest while sitting on elephant (they have good arrangement for seating). Overall a must do activity with kids if you are in Khao-sok. Take about 3 Hr on total from hotel to back.

The sanctuary is very small and do not for work.
We are support them only, The best can do.
No riding, no chains,no abuse of these animals. And we do bathing and feeds.

At khao Sok Elephant Sanctuary you will have a very rare opportunity to trek though the beautiful jungles of Khao Sok National Park with our elephants.
During the tour you will be able to feed, give mud baths, and even have some friendly water fights with these beautiful ceatures in the water lagoons.
Our English Speaking guides' will tell you some stories of Thailand's national animal.
Our elephants' are well looked after by our trained carers' that provide the best possible care, and all of our carers have a special bond with each of our elephants'.
Time schedules: 8:00am/ 10:00am/ 1:00pm/ 3:00pm.
Duration: 1:30 hours, 1hour with the elephants.
What to bring: sunblock, swimwear, towel, shoes, and a spare set of dry clothes if wish

Hi, can you tell me if this sanctuary follows the new guidelines for care? We are travelling to Thailand next February and would like to visit a sanctuary where the elephants are genuinely rescued with no poor treatment/hooks etc. We don't want to ride or for them to be ridden for entertainment many thanks Sharon
