I enjoyed my visit to the Amish country. I was part of a tour. We got to go to the school house and learn how they were taught. Also went to a home. Very interesting

We just drove everywhere exploring. It’s a beautiful place. Such a simple life. The stories on the Amish are pretty fascinating.

The simple life has some characteristics we could all learn from it. Learned a lot here about their tradition and German-American culture. Friendly people with good local businesses and food. It’s fun to see them riding their scooters and driving their buggies. I enjoyed the time I got to spend with them.

We all needed some fresh air and a stress free, relaxing activity. The Amish are an amazing group of people who could teach the rest of us a thing or two about what it really means to live. If it wasn’t for my love of comfort, I would be tempted to adopt this lifestyle 😂. Worth your while!

Di passaggio nella cosiddetta Amish Country, pur senza fare il giro “turistico” che viene proposto, abbiamo avuto modo di incrociare vari membri di questa comunità che teoricamente rifiuta ogni genere di modernità ma al giorno d’oggi mescola gruppi più o meno rigorosi in termini sia di mezzi di trasporto che di accettazione della tecnologia. Visita interessante anche se certe manifestazioni sembrano ad uso turistico.

E' stata una bellissima esperienza trascorrere, anche se solo per poco, del tempo con questa splendida comunità. Consiglio la passeggiata a bordo delle loro carrozze fino all'nterno di una delle loro fattorie

It depends on where in the Lancaster area you would be visiting. If you want to be staying someplace more economical in Ronks, PA (not far from Lancaster), I would recommend the Eastbrook Inn. Breakfasts are modest but rooms are clean, service is very good and the rates are excellent. Next door is another hotel, more upscale and more pricey, the La Quinta. More attractive rooms and substantial breakfasts with a very nice lobby. Have a wonderful visit.

My hubby and I enjoyed seeing the countryside outside of Lancaster this past May. The best route was traveling from eastern Lancaster towards New Holland. Lovely scenery and plenty of farms which is what are you looking for, right? Roads are windy so look out for the Amish buggies.

wir fahren im August nach New York und wollen einen Ausflug zu den Amish People machen. Reicht Eurer Meinung nach ein Tagesausflug oder sollte man dort übernachten?

Von New York konnen sie auch mit ein auto fahren. Ist besser Weil sie konnen direct in kleine strasse gehen und sehen Die Amish direkt. Ein tag ist genug!!!!
