Musée très instructif sur la pratique du ski dans les Laurentides. Musée bien aménagé et efficace pour se familiariser avec les personnages locaux et internationaux qui ont développé le ski dans le secteur. Bien instructif !

This is a super cute museum that is FREE (donation appreciated). I thought it was well worth a 30 min visit with my 3 kids. They each left with 2 new fun facts about the history of skiing in the area. As we slide into winter it's amazing to think how far the sport has come.

pictures, artifacts, newspaper clips, from the other area where ski was very popular on the slopes of Mont St-Sauveur. Quaint little museum to visit.

Covers the history of skiing in the Laurentians. The influence of Jackrabbit Johanssen on the business of sport skiing and the tourism of the region. Small but packed with interesting items.

Un petit musée qui détaille le lien entre le développement des Laurentides et du ski. La présentation est très réussi et j'étais ému de voir les objets de vrai Jackrabbit - pionnier du ski dans notre belle région. Par contre, je suis resté sur ma soif en imaginant d'autres sujets / éléments qui auraient pu être abordé. Il y a des documents de consultation et des video offrant un complément d'information. Peu interactif pour les enfants, mais je m'y attendais.

We were directed to this small community museum when we stopped at the local information booth to inquire about skiing areas and accommodations. It is just a couple blocks from the information booth. The museum is housed in the local government building and doesn't seem to have guided tours.
The museum is full of exhibits that follow the timeline of Quebec settlement and skiing invention. There are many artifacts of early skiing and the advancement of ski areas and the sport of skiing. One portion focuses on Canadian Olympic skiing.
It was very interesting. It is free but there is a suggested donation of $3. The building does have a bathroom but no other guest services are available.
