This is my favourite park, always immaculately kept and well behaved park/walkers.
Always love going down to the beach and walk along for about an hour or two, sit down and just drink in nature.

We have been her many times as it was a short walk from home. Tricky to access, no, or very little parking if yu want to go see it. There are wonderful garden displays but the major attraction is the Friendship Gate. This separates Canada/USA border. North/South bound traffic flows through on Highway 99 out of Vancouver. People from everywhere wander the grounds and take pictures as it is a historic place. The Olympic flame was brought here prior to the 2010 Olympics with a wonderful celebration. It was a must see event! If you get a chance.. GO, please go!

Sadly this was not as exciting as I thought it would be. I remember visiting this as a child during a festival and it was a lot more exciting. my GPS kicked me back across the Canada border into the US which was unfortunate as I had to go through customs all over again. That was not my goal. The park is nice and the arches are neat. I spent less than an hour here.

Visited the park on a gorgeous sunny day mid week. Very few visitors. A bit tricky getting in to the parking lot due to some waterline construction. Lots of free parking. Opportunity to get up close to Peace Arch, take pictures with very few other visitors, enjoy the garden and views.

Wonderful oasis near the border crossing between USA and Canada. Blaine and White Rock. It is a great place as it has available picnic tables and lots of space for games such as ultimate frisbee, soccer, and bocce.

Great place to take a stroll around this lovely park, which has vehicle parking lot (free) located just prior to crossing the border. Great place for everyone to enjoy sites of lovely park. Note: clean washrooms & all picnic tables are disassembled for maintenance.

This border-spanning park right on the Pacific Ocean is unique. The northern half the park is located in Canada, while the southern half is in the US. Residents of each country can park on their own sides and meet their foreign friends in the middle. Even in the tensest times, there is no sense of heavy surveillance here (although I wouldn't try leaving the park on the opposite side from where you entered - there no doubt IS surveillance going on).
The photo op is for you and your friends to have one foot on either side of the border, beneath the Peach Arch that was built to commemorate the friendship between the two countries.
Well maintained facilities, gardens and landscaping.

If I'm coming up from the US side on the 5 frwy is there an exit to get to the park before hitting the border?

Can some enter the park on the canadian side and slip out of the park on the us side
I would like to meet a friend of mine to donate clothing after a recent house fire. They lost everything they owned. Are they allowed to cross the boarder with these items?
Edit: neither of us have valid passports at the moment

Two friends want to visit each other after a long time, one lives in Canada, the other in US and none of them are legally allowed to cross the border. Is it a safe bet if they come visit each other in this park and go back home at the end of the day?

Yes. The crossing security is on opposite sides. So people in each country can meet at the park without going through customs.

If you come from the US side and exit from the US side, do you need a passport? If yes, how do they know you have entered from which side?

Hi, I am Canadian and access it from Canada however we have gone to a park on zero Avenue across the roadway from Peace Arch Park in Canada and crossing into America' s park and no passport was required but there is border patrol present.

If you wanted to visit it after coming from Vancouver Airport, parking off Beach Rd on the Canadian side near the Duty Free store, how do you get to the middle is there a safe pedestrian crossing or is traffic so slow or stopped that people can cross into the centre where the arch is? Do you need to go through customs/immigration if you are only visiting the park then heading back to Vancouver/BC after?

Sorry I didn't see your questions earlier, and you probably already have an answer to your questions. Yes there are pedestrian crossings and, in any event, cars are usually queued up for the border crossing so it's not difficult to get across the road. You don't need your passport to enjoy wandering through the grounds, but it is advisable that you carry photo ID with you nonetheless.
