Kayaking this beautiful cove was amazing. What made our experience even better was our guide, a teacher of it's ecosystems and history, someone who loves the land and it's wild life. There are no better shares than the ones you love, and these people love this magical place and helped us see it through their eyes. Service in it's best form, with kindness and patience, their personal goal seemed to be our enchantment of everything that surrounded us. It felt very personal, easy and sincere.

Kye provided my sister and I with a wonderful afternoon that we will never forget. The knowledge, experience, and love for what they do really shows.

We did the Seals and Smiles Tour with Kye as our guide (she is also the owner).
I was not confident about kayaking, but she was thorough in her instructions and made sure the youngest to the oldest paddlers would be safe. We saw so many beautiful seals and even some baby ones! Kye was not only an informative guide (we learned about different sea treasures and ancient legends about the islands)..she was also entertaining and HILARIOUS!!! Would highly recommend on your trip to Pender!

What a great time! I took a tour with Kye, and she was fantastic! It was my first time on a kayak, and she settled my nerves quickly. The water was great, and we saw lots of animals and fish. She is very knowledgeable and thoughtful of the environments. I highly recommend adding this to your gulf island visit!

Kye and her kids were great! They set my wife and I up for a wonderful day kayaking Otter Bay. We really appreciated the safety tutorial Kye gave to us. We have been kayaking many times, but this was the first time an operator taught us what to do if things go wrong. Otter Bay is a beautiful location for a day trip from Victoria. I'm looking forward to going back!

While staying at Poet's Cove Resort & Marina we wanted to have a kayak for our use for a couple days. Problem solved with Dog Mermaid as they will deliver (and pickup) their equipment (kayak/canoe) to your location for as many days you like.

A great morning of starfish, otters, eagles seals and views! A great way to enjoy a couple hours with a knowledgeable guide (Johnny) with a focus on safety with a great briefing and teaching. I’m new to this sport and after a few minutes away we went!

We rented a canoe for a paddle from the marina at Otter Bay, Pender Island to Roesland Park, across the Bay. Mermaid Dog were really awesome to deal with, and the gear was excellent. We will be back, one day.

My 9 year old daughter rates this camp as "the best camp she has ever been to". She learned a variety of paddling skills: paddle board, kayak and canoe. She learned about sea life, ocean currents along with fun, friendship and teamwork. I will definitely put her in camp again next time I am in the area.
