It is a great site for people interested in the history of architecture. It is not widely known, that young architect Walter Gropius had been commissioned by his uncle to design a complex of farm buildings. The buildings had been constructed around year 1905. The storehouse is the only surviving object.
It is build in a style very different to bauhouse - with clock and pressure towers and timber framings. It's interesting that exterior did not link to the buildings storage function.
The building is in a pretty bad condition but had been secured (new roof, the openings had been closed). And what is exceptional its original form had been preserved.
The storehouse is located in a village Jankowo Pomorskie, 5km from the center of Drawsko Pomorskie, direction Szczecin (turn right about 400m after crossing the railway). After entering the willage turn right at the end of the road.
Take good shoes - the area is not paved and on a wet day it will be muddy. Prepare for a bit sad view of a underrun building, but it is still a very worthwhile thing to do.
