The ship was huge! So much to see the staff were so friendly and learnt lots. Just a great day out! Definitely will be back soon.

Interessant om te zien en leuk om over het schip te lopen. Na een minuut of 30 heb je alles we gezien, zeker als het koud en nat is.

I had wanted to visit the Belfast for many years and finally managed to visit on my Birthday in March with my wife. The ship is fascinating, hours worth of exploration and learning, most areas open to explore. The highlight had to be the fantastic staff, Dave (David) and Kevin gave us fantastic knowledge and stories having both served on the Belfast. Dave went out of his way to take me around the ship on a personal tour for my birthday. The enthusiasm and interest to engage with everyone on the ship was brilliant and it made both our days.

The actual ship is very interesting. I started my visit at 3.30. I had only seen half the ship, when at 4.45, an announcement came the ship was closing and to make are way to the exit. The upper decks had been roped off. The website misleadingly says the ship closes at 5. I asked if I could finish the trip the next day. Only if I paid full price again

Very interesting visit and wish exploring although it's sometimes difficult to know which way to go and ship's ladders would make access difficult for some. The only remaining WW2 war ship is well worth a visit.

A visit to HMS Belfast really outlines how we have developed as humans since the 1940’s, when young men could see this as a happy home even though tomorrow may be their last day.
The ship is low ceilinged and must have been freezing when operating in the North Atlantic, living conditions were cramped for the 1,000 crew onboard.
The Belfast is a reality check for what war is like, and opens your eyes to the life of a serving sailor as you pass through the narrow corridors and bulkhead doors.
With her 6” guns she was way out gunned by the larger battleships with their 16” guns yet still chased down the German battle cruiser Scharnhorst and played a major role in her sinking.
A number of areas had a refit following damage by a magnetic mine and also again for operations in the Korean War.
What a great place to visit but expect to climb narrow sharp staircases and through hatches to view the entire nine decks.

Fantastic day out, made by the incredible volunteers.
We came as a a family of 3 generations grandparents, mum and 8 year old boy who has a keen interest in WW2.
Price made us wince a little, but it was definitely worth it.
The volunteers were absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable, helpful and smiley.
Nothing was too much trouble, for them and it was great to chat to such enthusiastic people.
Big shout out to Luke(?) (hope I got his name right) young chap with glasses who did the talks. Fantastic speaker, and extremely knowledgeable. I couldn’t believe it when he said it was “only his 3rd time doing the talks”. Such confidence, and the talk flowed so well.
Also “Mick” (said he lived 6 miles away, and use to work at a football club?) .. again I hope I got his name right.
Fantastic, every time he spotted us, he suggested we go to a different part of the ship or suggested something else. Nice guy. Gave my son a certificate and he was over the moon with that, thanks .
People in the ticket office were great to. Very friendly and approachable.
We spent nearly 3 hours there. Didn’t realize it closed at around 5pm, we would of come earlier if realized
Overall made a very memorable day. So big thanks to everyone

One of the last examples still existing of British WW2 fighting ships. So many were scrapped, unlike their American allies. It is good to see one still afloat. Many volunteers on board can tell you all about it. Mighty ship!

We visited HMS Belfast on our final day in London, as it was more out of the way from our hotel room we decided to do this in the morning and head off to the train station to go home from there. We visited a number of museums during our stay, including others owned by IWM and, going off of these experiences, we expected there to be lockers here. There are none. It is the one attraction that nearly needs them due to the small spaces and various ladders to climb and doing this whilst carrying our luggage was...an experience. So don't make the same mistake we did!
It is, however a fascinating visit. It takes a lot longer to walk around than I was expecting and is so much bigger inside than you would perhaps imagine. Not everyday you get to step onboard a war ship so it was really interesting and I learned a lot. The lower decks feel a bit claustrophobic so that might not be for everyone but all in all, really fascinating visit I imagine people of all ages and all interest levels in the subject would enjoy.
There's toilets, cafe and gift shop too so the usual amenities can be found even though you're on a ship and there's lovely views of tower bridge from the deck to. The visit here was more for my partner but I thoroughly enjoyed it much more than I thought I would and I would highly recommend it.

Not impressed by the staff standing around talking to each other, no engagement with visitors. Some parts of the ship well preserved and presented but there is a lot of work in progress and a lot of equipment seemingly rotting away. Expensive to visit, understandable when you see how much remains to be tidied up.

Please can someone advise whether it is possible to leave the pushchair at the entrance when we visit the ship? We live quite far away so I need the pushchair but to visit my toddler should be fine walking around. Thanks for your help.

Not enough of it to make it worthwhile in my opinion. For most of the things to see one needs to go up or down ladders. Also, between compartments where there are hatches, there are raised areas one would need to cross to enter into the next compartment. If I remember correctly, about the only place a wheelchair could get to easily would be the exterior main deck.

Crutches. There are some areas you may struggle with. Even with crutches. But it’s a great day out still.

Is it cheaper to buy the ticket online or on site? Is it any official website for buying them?

You can print the coupon on the site Daysoutguide, if you arrive by Stansted Express and show your ticket. You pay £16 for two people, that is the cheapest price you can find

No, tickets are not timed and it is usually reasonably quiet to visit.
