This was the second time I'd visited, but with a ten year gap. Got to say it was bigger and somehow even better than last time! We had Mandy all to ourselves for 4 hours, while she showed us around the centre, then guided us through flying 5 of the birds. Worth every penny - cannot recommend enough!
We got to fly a kestral, two owls, a harris hawk and buzzard, not to mention the dogs who kept coming back for more ear scritches! Mandy is extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves all the birds in her care - all with their own unique personalities. I won't be waiting another 10 years to go back!

We were driving to our campsite when we noticed the sign for this place and we are so glad we did! We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (13 year old and 6 year old) and we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff/owners were so knowledgable and were happy to answer and questions we had. It was amazing to be able to witness the birds flying aswell as learning about them. We believe this experience was well worth the money and we can't wait to go back for the winter wonderland. Would definitely reccommend anybody thinking about visiting to give it a go you will not be disappointed.

What an amazing place we had a family raptor flying experience and it was beyond amazing. Mark and Mandy made us feel so welcome and were so informative, to experience the birds landing on your arm was fantastic! Highly recommend as a great place to visit

We had a very informative and enjoyable visit .
Got to know a lot more about the birds , their habits and their natural habitats.
Mark is a very easy going host and more than happy to spend time with us and answer our questions .
My wife has to use a wheelchair to get about and I can confirm that the premises are fit for purpose in that respect .
It was great to visit a place that caters for less abled persons .
Well worth a visit if your in the area .

My husband bought me this experience as a 70th birthday present, we shared the Raptor one. We were met by Mandy, an extremely knowledgeable guide. We learnt a lot about these amazing birds. Much more than visits to other falconry centres. We flew 3 birds, 2 owls and a kestrel. Plop was my favourite. If the car park is empty please stay, it's worth it. I can't praise it enough.

The Falcon experience was a 60th birthday present for my husband of our sons. We arrived at 11am and had a lovely welcome from Anna who then Proceeded to introduce us to some of the falcons, eagles and owls. Her knowledge was amazing and we learnt lots of really interesting facts about the birds. Anna then took us out into the field with spectacular views. Our first close encounter was with Harrison the Harris Hawk, who flew beautifully for us and even caught food in mid air when Anna threw it for him. The 2nd bird we were introduced to was Rihanna the Buzzard who was stunning and a really big bird (heavy to have on your arm!). The final and cutest bird we met was a barn owl who was so adorable. We were able to walk around the rest of the enclosures to see all of the other birds on site which again was brilliant. Seeing and flying these magnificent birds so close was an absolute privilege and we thoroughly enjoyed our time from start to end. We highly recommended any of the experiences to anyone who has an interest in birds it truest was a memorable experience and have some brilliant photos to remember our days - thanks so much to Anna for making our day so enjoyable

Myself and my partner visited today for a half day falconry experience, which I had bought him as a Christmas present. Anna was our host for the day, she was super friendly and welcoming. My partner got to fly owls, falcons, eagles, buzzards and hawks and there was lots of handling time involved. Anna’s knowledge of the birds was spectacular and she was able to answer all of our questions; it’s clear she’s very passionate about what she does. Whilst we were there, we were also able to look around the sanctuary and see the other birds that they have. The experience was well structured and fun for both my partner and I, who was spectating. You get free tea and coffee as part of your experience and you can then purchase feathers on the way out as a little keepsake. The sanctuary isn’t a charity and receives no grants or funding so we made a donation as we left. We would return again! Thank you for a fantastic day! :)

We really enjoyed our mini-falconry experience! We got to fly Thistle, a kestrel, and Rihanna, a buzzard, and it wad a fantastic time. The person who worked with us gave us so many interesting facts about birds of prey, it was easy to see that she had a large amount of knowledge and a true passion for the birds. It was such a fun and interesting experience, so we were very happy to have done it!

Excellent places to visit for all ages. On arrival we had a talk from one of the falconers very informative but not overloaded. Then free to look around. We saw the birds flying. It was very quite when we were there. Don't be put off if the car park is empty go in you won't be disappointed.

It was a silver wedding gift from our daughter and husband I think it was 89 pounds for over 2 hours and there was just 3 in the group
What facilities do you have ? Are there toilets and a cafe ?

Hi there are basic toilets but no cafe. There is however a kettle and the lovely people will make you Tea and Coffee. There are also chocolate bars for sale. This is set in a great place far from the crowds, a must see.
