Last here five years or so ago when everything was grey. Today virtually everything was blue including geometric prints, ceramics and paintings. A little more lively but the artwork felt a bit functional and felt as if it might serve better as carpet design or wallpaper.

Nicely laid out art works , well lit and pleasant to browse round. no pressure to buy so pop in and have a look.

Artist and owner Ann Symes has created a beautiful gallery space filled with exquisite things. Her thoughtfully curated exhibitions bring together ceramics, jewellery, paintings and more, in a way which enhances the individual pieces.
Relaxed atmosphere so you feel comfortable lingering to enjoy the work.
Located at the far end of Tarrant Street, just past Sparks Yard, it is definitely not to be missed

We liked what we saw, the talented artists and their work was lovely to see. There was much diversity in the work on display and were spoilt for choice.

This is a bright modern gallery space about half way along Arundel's Tarrant Street with its lively mix of pubs, restaurants, antique shops and which this festival Saturday was more bustling than usual. Live music including an a quintet of glamorous grannies and some pretty ghastly over amplified rock guitar music all added to the mix. Amidst this colourful backdrop the artworks at this gallery including prints, small abstract paintings and ceramics, struggled to make much of an impression, distinguishing themselves only by their greyness.

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the exhibits in the gallery. I do tend to have a subtle taste in colour but sometimes there are more colourful paintings on display and I hope you’ll give us another chance.

This lovely gallery has a changing display of ceramics, prints and paintings and jewellery all of a very high standard. The gallery focusses at any one time on the work of perhaps half a dozen top craftsmen and artists. If you are interested in British crafts this is a gallery not to be missed. The owner is welcoming and helpful.

Gallery 57 is currently running its "Black & White" exhibition, but these change regularly and all are very interesting, showing paintings, screen prints, ceramics and jewellery from local artists in a very friendly and well lit space. Ann the owner is on hand with all the information you need and also shows her beautiful paintings and various creative works. Simplicity of line and colour is one of the key characteristics of this Gallery - simple and unfussy work, very tactile and exquisite ceramic bowls complement the lovely choice of paintings on the clean walls. Don't miss it .. keep walking down Tarrant Street, it is just past Spark's Yard.

Walking down Tarrant Street, past the coffee shops, eateries, antique shops and other curiosities you will find a contemporary art gallery that is like a breath of fresh air. Gallery 57 immaculately displays a balance of 2D and 3D work that is more fine art than craft but not at `fine` art prices. The space is uncluttered and inviting, with a place to sit and contemplate the work around you. In each exhibition that I have seen there has been an interesting range of works and styles that hang in conversation with each other. The exhibitions generally have a connecting thread or theme and change every couple of months so it is worth getting on their mailing list.

What a find! Absolutely love dropping in at the gallery and viewing the fabulous collections put together by Ann Symes. Always a joy and have made several purchases. Ceramics, paintings and jewellery. Haven't seen the January display, black and white yet but look forward to seeing it. Arundel itself is a great town to visit with lots to do and see.
