We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience in particular the extra guided tour with Gabby. Gabby was a great & entertaining tour guide who gave us lots of extra information and insight, definitely worth doing. She took us to the Titanic hotel that was originally where major decisions about the planning of the construction of the Titanic were made. Highly recommend the tour.

Belfast Titanic - Wow! Absolutely jammed packed with interesting facts and artefacts but underlying it all was the human loss of life and you got such a sense of the people on board. We did the Discovery tour with Peter - what a guy! Friendly and knowledgeable but also interested in everyone on the tour - well worth the money. If u do the tour wrap up as it’s mostly outside so you need warmth but the trip inside the hotel was just fantastic - to see where the ship was designed was brilliant. We spent a good 4 hours there but to be honest we could easily have spent the whole day. Little coffee shop was nice too and decent value. Can’t wait to visit again.

I flew from Boston to spend a day and a half in Belfast, with the main purpose of my journey being to visit Titanic Belfast. I had been here before in 2000, when the city was quite different. The museum was still 12 years in the future, and the whole area was off limits, and essentially left to rot. The area now seems to be thriving, and it was a lovely, albeit chilly walk from my hotel in City Centre to the museum.
I could not have asked for a better tour. I upgraded to the White Star Experience, and I would recommend that for anyone planning to attend. My tour guide, Peter, was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us out-of-towners a sense of Belfast life, not only in 1912, but through a number of difficult, transformative decades.
The White Star Tour brings you to the original White Star headquarters where we get to see Thomas Andrews’ and Lord Pirrie’s offices. Stories abound of the happenings in the rooms and hallways where we stood; the window to the Marconi office that delivered the terrible news to the owners many Aprils ago.
The museum itself is stunning. The symbolism abounds, and will not be lost on Titanic devotees. You’ll get a sense of the history of Belfast, of life in the shipyard, and the pride of the city. Each exhibit is interactive, modern and thoughtful. They do not shy away from the gravity of the events, and pay great reverence not only to those who built the ships, but to those lost as well. There are many original artifacts on display, Wallace Hartley’s violin being a high point. One thing I appreciate is that there were absolutely ZERO artifacts which had been salvaged from the ocean floor. The immense respect paid to the sanctity of the site is clear.
Included with admission is access to the Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Ship, which served as a tender for Titanic in Cherbourg, France.
Immediately adjacent to the museum are the slipways occupied by Olympic and titanic. Inlays in the concrete mark the exact location where the ship stood as she was built. The layout allows you some time for quiet contemplation as you walk the deck of titanic, stopping to see the location of the funnels, benches and, of course, the lifeboats.
I have dreamed of this trip since the day it opened, and it was more than I could have wished for. It’s truly a trip worth making, in a city that has come such a long way in a short time. As Peter said, this museum, and the growth that it has brought has given a city which spend so much time paralyzed by a troubled past a sense of hopefulness and looking towards the future. A city and a trip that will always live in my heart.

The experience is too expensive for its worth. All information can be found online and the attractions are not worth the price.

Fantastic visit but could have stayed longer. The whole museum is well laid out and we loved the interaction and history. The Ship Yard ride into the hull of the ship showing how it was built was excellent as was the galleries showing the fit out ( including a virtual tour of the grand staircase), and the Ballard exhibition was incredible. A very informative, educational & thoughtful exhibition. We also saw the SS Nomadic. Bit of building working going on to make improvements outside.
Book in advance though as you have to have a time slot and make time for the shop! We just needed more time as there was so much!

Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear that you had an amazing visit and enjoyed the interactive exhibits, especially the Ship Yard ride and the virtual tour of the grand staircase – those are definitely highlights! It’s great to know you also found the Ballard exhibition informative and educational, and we hope you enjoyed exploring the SS Nomadic as well.
We appreciate your tip about booking in advance for time slots, and yes, the shop is definitely worth a visit – it's always great to take a little piece of the experience home! We’re sorry to hear you didn’t have enough time to fully explore everything, but we hope you’ll have the chance to return and enjoy even more of what the museum has to offer.
Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!

What a lovely surprise Belfast is. Such a warm welcome from everyone, so friendly and the locals we met were very funny, it was a pleasure to meet them.
The City appears so tidy, well maintained. Still developing but what they have done so far is tasteful and fits in with other buildings . Tons of places to eat, though we thought the prices where probably a tad more expensive than other Cities, great pubs too.
Also did a Bus tour of the City very interesting, Belfast's past History needs to be remembered, also the Titanic museum is a must probably the best in the UK . Would I go back? yes.

Too bad that the site closes early because we could not visit Nomadic after our Titanic exhibition scheduled at 2:30 pm. The visit is to be made but due to a high occupancy rate we do not have time to immerse ourselves. We had opted for audio guides but the overcrowding almost masked the comments. I think it’s a shame to have to book a slot to end up with a mass of people clinging to the windows and comments so that it’s not possible to read. Again it’s a shame...

From the docks of Belfast to the bottom of the ocean….. what a story.
The titanic museum was very interesting and the ride was great.
The worker’s point of view to the sad messages and stories of the lost passengers and staff.
Would recommend the headset and there is A LOT of reading in dark areas.
Good exhibition to kill a couple of hours.
Beautiful cakes and pastries in the coffee shop too.
Worth the visit

A must place to visit if in Belfast. A really interesting museum seeing the beginnings of the Titanic to sadly the end. A very tasteful museum that didn't really promote the film or talk about it in any way which was refreshing. Lots of information to read and various interactive boards and displays. The ride is a nice touch and well designed.

Is there a charge for using the titanic museum carpark if you are staying overnight in the hotel?
Đã viết vào 11 tháng 3, 2025
Depends on your travels. We took the train from Dublin and got early afternoon tickets without pre booking..this was Fri Sept 6..another tip is to consider using the Hop On bus from city hall which will take you to the exhibit and you can also see the rest of the city afterwards..cost effective once you consider taxi fares.
