If you wander down this residential area, you’ll be rewarded with intriguing murals referencing the past struggles in this historical city. Some are in need of repairs, though I’m not sure how that would be accomplished without destroying the originals. All in all, an excellent walk through history.

Lieu historique à visiter absolument. C'est un incontournable moment d'histoire. On peut y voir notamment le Free Derry Corner, le mémorial de la grève de la faim, le mémorial du Bloody Sunday et les fresques murales.

Finally something to look at. The paintings are a real gem of the place - wherever you go, the boring site is changed into something interesting to look at. At the same time, this is a nice contrast to an old part of the city where it's mostly about old walls and far history.

We wanted to visit the museum but unfortunately it wasn’t open during our visit. However, we did really enjoy looking at the photos of all the murals.

Vraiment intéressant à vois et à explique à des enfants (8-11) à propos des revendications de l'art mais ne vaut pas le détour dans votre visite en irelande si vous avez moins de 14 jours

The art is a must see. . The detail of it is unreal and there are plaques with information on the pictures, some very sad but good to get a insight to the history of derry.

If you visited the museum then just talk a walk along the road and you will find all the places you see at the museum with the amazing wall paintings.

Die Murals in der Bogside im ehemals freien Derry sind beindruckende wie bedrückende Bilder der jüngsten Nordirischen Geschichte. Am besten sind die dargestellten Situationen mit der entsprechenden Lektüre der geschichtlichen Hintergründe oder im Rahmen einer Tour des Museum of Free Derry, begleitet von einem Zeitzeugen, erklärbar.
