I randomly booked myself in for a 1 hour hot stone massage today for a bit of self care. Was met by a friendly lady, Mel I think, who took me through to the warm and cosy treatment room. What an experience, a very well executed massage and I feel amazing after it. Really hit some of the tender spots but was extremely relaxing overall. Will definitely be back routinely. Thank you, Emma 😊

I have been a few times to My Thai and had both therapists, both lovely and very welcoming. The extra touches such as hot pillow etc are very nice, the massage room is very cosy even when its freezing outside. So comfortable and relaxing. Would 100% recommend.

As the owner reacted badly to my last review I shall write it again.
Mel took over from Nong, she was inexperienced compared to Nong, Nong did train her for a time as well but the first thing Mel did was raise her prices , in my own opinion her skill set at the time did not justify this increase in cost compared to Nong.
At the time of my massage I just didn’t think Mel massage was a good as Nong’s, it wasn’t bad by any means but it certainly did justify the price rise.
I did visit Mel on more than one occasion and the experience was always good but not to the same standard as the last owner of the business.
I do think Mel focused more on the business point of view and less customer care.
Mel is a Very happy soul with good sense of humour, but she isn’t a experienced Thai masseur in comparison with Nong and she had seen this as a business venture, and there is nothing wrong with that.
It’s been a few months since I visited Mel and will only assume going by her feedback that she has improved a lot, So well done Mel 👍👍
So Mel I hope this review is better for you, my last was probably a tad harsh but I maintain you were not experienced enough to justify putting your prices up and you relied on the previous owners reputation, but it’s really good to see your recent feedback is showing your doing well and I really wish you all the best with your business venture 😊

Well, thanks for the update. It seems you're still infatuated with Nong, but it's been awhile, perhaps you should come along again and try 1 of our 3 other therapist, perhaps you'll find one you like?
We realise everyone has their own taste, so we're happy for you to prefer your experience with our previous incarnation.
It's always a challenge to defend an unhappy client who hides behind a made up user name and who is too cowardly to say who he is, as we have no way of knowing how the particular session went, and if there were mitigating circumstances. So I'm afraid we can't really give any explanation or apology, should it be necessary, to you.

Think I am also one of the Many who used to visit Nong when she had the shop and Mel who has now taking it over is doing a good job.
I said when she first took over the shop that she will need to work hard and get better to get up to Nongs Standard
Its been a while since I last went to Mel as I felt she needed to get better to justify her prices, its not that she was bad in anyway but she just wasn't as good as Nong ( who I still keep in contact with ) but its probably been nearly a year so she is probably gotten a lot better and wouldn't hesitate to use her services again.
Mel is a very nice lady and you can get a laugh with her as well, she is very down to earth and just a genuinely nice soul, Def recommend a visit

I have terrible knots in my back but Mel left me feeling light as air after a very thorough deep tissue massage. She was very attentive to my problem areas and the ambience was very relaxing. Excellent service, will certainly be visiting again.

I visited whilst on holiday in the area and booked a second session before travelling home as Melanie did such a great job. I have a very sore upper back, shoulder and neck and she really worked on the knots and stiffness. She was lovely. I would definitely book again if in the area. I think the price was reasonable. I've not had a Thai massage but this was a great deep tissue massage.

I have terrible knots on my shoulders and back which causes horrendous migraines. Went for a deep tissue massage and it was fantastic! Came out feeling relaxed, would highly recommend.

I’m a 36 year old male and this was my first time ever receiving a professional massage.
I was booked in for an hour session.
Once I was on the bed I was relaxed. She gave me a hot stone massage, I felt like I was in heaven, then she worked out all the knots in my neck and shoulders (there was a lot of them) it was painful but not a bad pain, felt great afterwards (she is very strong😁)
Then an awesome shoulder massage that was just bliss.
I canny wait to go back, the prices are worth it.
