Great tour! Our skipper Pete was friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful scenery and saw lots of bottlenosed dolphins as well as seals! Very fun!

We went on the 4pm Spirit Cruise, not really knowing what to expect, and not being brave enough to go on the Mischief Rib, but it was a great little trip and a very worth while experience, a 75 minute trip around the Beauly and Inner Moray Firths. Our guide was absolutely brilliant, and even though there were only 7 of us on the boat, she engaged with everyone and was incredibly informative. Unfortunately, I don't recall her name but do remember that she originally hailed from Essex, so would like to acknowledge her for making the trip so interesting. We didn't see any special wildlife on this trip although there have been recent sightings of Osprey and River Otters. But a relaxing and a rewarding experience nonetheless.

We took this trip I preference to the Mischief so we knew we were unlikely to see dolphins. We had a great guide with us who was very informative and enjoyed the views from the top deck in great weather. We did see some seals seabirds and a couple of Red Kites. Altogether a very pleasant and enjoyable cruise.

I can’t speak any more highly about my experience with Dolphin Spirit. When A9 was shut down for 70 miles and we were going to be late for our departure they crew did everything in their power to make sure we didn’t miss a trip that day. They were clear and communicative on the phone and worked with us to create the best outcome for everyone.
As far as the tour itself is concerned, the skipper spent time to fully explain the route we were going to take. The stops and goes were all explained in great detail so we knew exactly where we were, what we were looking at, and why we were there. At no point did I have questions about our tour because they were all answered.
We were supplied with the equipment needed to have the most comfortable experience possible. We saw grey and bottle nose dolphins and a colony of seals.
Had we been so unfortunate to miss the targeted wildlife, our cup was full with incomparable views of the magical landscape of the Highlands.
To quote out skipper, “10 out of 10” would recommend.

Superbly organised and safety-driven. Great personalities looking after us, imparting information and ensuring that we had a successful trip. Not a lot of dolphin sightings today....but wildlife don't live to a timetable. Overall a VERY enjoyable 2 or 3 hours with knowledgeable staff (skipper Peter was excellent) and WORTH EVERY PENNY. We cannot recommend highly enough.... A real MUST DO trip

Thoroughly enjoyed the exhilarating trip, which exceeded our expectations. The commentary was interesting and informative, and we did indeed see dolphins!

Captain Gus and his shore assistant, Glenn, were very welcoming and full of valuable information for saftey and ways to enhance our experience. The boat was secure and in excellent condition. Captian Gus was an excellent skipper. (I know because my father was in the Coast Guard for 34 years. I have been around boats and crews all my life.). We were joined by a scientist from the Dolphin Conservatory who was a fountain of knowledge and gave us the identity and history of every dolphin we encountered. The tide was turning so the dolphins were feeding EVERYWHERE! Plan your trip around the times to ensure sightings. I could not have had a more wonderful experience! Definitely include this great tour of the firths around Inverness and encounters with magnificant dolphins in your Inverness plans!

Excellent trip out! Good amount of time out on the water. Knowledgeable skipper. Best of all the dolphins came out. Thanks to all the staff. It was a very special trip on our honeymoon!

Mischief rib is the way to give yourself the best chance to see and cover water to spot dolphins.
We got a fantastic day to go out like a glass mill pond and even then spotting them took time, but very much worth the trip. Great staff helpful and felt very safe.

Just been on Mischief Rib and it was a fabulous experience. Staff helpful and caring and you feel safe. Went out past Chanonry Point and even saw dolphins feeding and playing. Well worth a trip! Thanks to all.

Has anyone taken any kids younger than 10? My daughter will be 9 1/2 and wanted to do this rather than the slower boat trip? Thanks

I can’t see any problems. The boat is actually nice and big, she can sit between the two adults. Skippers are very good and experienced. Well worth it , hope you can see the dolphins it’s breathtaking

Hi, we welcome all well-behaved dogs onto the Dolphin Spirit cruiser but unfortunately we cannot take dogs on board the Dolphin Mischief RIB.

According to their website the trips are off for the winter and start again in April 2019.

Sorry for the delay in responding. We have ample parking on site at the marina building and at the far end of the Marina too. if you don't have your own transport we operate a minibus for the town centre too.

Hi, I think it was £35 per adult on the RIB; trip lasted over 2 hours, it was definitely worth it

Hi, I'm coming to Inverness next week and one of the things I really want to do is come on board one of your boats. However, I have three fractures in my spine, nothing can be done, just have to let my spine adapt to the fractures. Am I okay to travel with you?

Avril, our cruiser “Dolphin Spirit” is very stable and does not move much in rough weather, I think it will be suitable for you. Please come along and I am sure we can accommodate your needs.

Dolphin Spirit, our cruiser boat, can take dogs aboard. Unfortunately, you cannot ttake any dogs aboard our RIB trip (Dolphin Mischief).
