So my kids (8 & 10) loved this bridge. We walked over it every day to and from our B&B. Twice, at high tide, we saw "a monster" rear its head and swim up the River Ness from this bridge.
The monster had whiskers, big eyes and flippers... so you can figure out what it really was :-)

It may only be a bridge, but we definitely thought it was worth finding for the views down The Ness and to experience the 'bounce' of the bridge. Created some memories for us.

After getting off the train or bus, I always walk to this bridge to feel like I am really in Inverness, fabulous views up and down the river. It's great to reach the middle and just appreciate the views 😊

We enjoyed a family holiday in Inverness for a week last summer and enjoyed seeing the 19th century Greig Street suspension footbridge across the Ness. We heard it has a nickname "the bouncy bridge" apparently due to it's movement up and down when pedestrians are crossing creating a bounce wave across the bridge.

There are a few ways to cross the River Ness in Inverness. One of them is the Greig Street Suspension Bridge.
Located further down the river from the main Ness Bridge it is not possible to cross this bridge by car. You can walk or cycle across it.
As it is a suspension bridge when you walk across it does wobble a bit which can make for an enjoyable or jarring experience depending on how you feel about such things.

This is an unusual bridge as it bounces when you walk over it, the more people on it the bouncer its gets. It is definitely a fun experience.

This footbridge across the river Ness is conveniently located just off Church Street for a walk along the beautiful river path.

This is a Modern bridge which surprisingly I absolutely love it. The views make it twice as good. Probably my favourite bridge in Inverness?? Maybe not but it sure is great!

I was staying just a short walk away from the bridge and so walked by it many times (and stood there enjoying the sunset on some evenings). Many tried to jump on it and tried to shake it. It was a fun experience for sure!!

The bridge looks lovely and has fantastic views of the city. When walking across it almost bounces, the busier it is the bouncier it is! Very unusual!

There is also inexpensive parking at the church down the street. I don't remember the name of the church but it was one of the tourist attractions.

Hi, they are 'love lockets' usually including inscriptions between the two people involved. It seems to be a growing phenomenon much to the chagrin of many councils, some of whom have the padlocks removed. The Hohenzollern railway bridge over the Rhine river in Cologne is absolutely covered in them!
