I should have read the reviews before we went. We might have found the car park and made sure we had room to enjoy the tea room! But we came for the gardens and they didn't disappoint. Small, but beautifully put together.
If I have a criticism it is that the maps available at the entrance aren't very helpful. One isn't going to get lost in 2 acres and so a small guide that illustrates where particular plants of interest are and a bit about the specific collections would be helpful and allow for a fuller appreciation of what is there. This is, after all, a gardener's garden and not a casual visitor's garden.

On the edge of town was this wee gem, it had a rather large gardens to walk around with a beautiful varied selection of flowers and trees, we particularly love the rhododendrons and the poppies, there was also a cute wee pond with tadpoles. It had uneven ground in certain areas, so maybe a wheelchair user would struggle, but as I am challenged with walking I did manage, but was careful. There were a lovely tearoom by the start of our walk, we sat on the terrace and had tea in wee teacups, scones with a wee pot of jam each, and the pear and fresh cream sponge was simply delicious, I would definitely recommend this place to visitors of Perth, or anyone who loves flowers, always looking for volunteers, but I live too far away, or I’d would have in a heartbeat

It’s a very well maintained gardens very relaxing and it has a wonderful little coffee shop serving the best scones in Perthshire. The entry price into the gardens is £7.50 per person

A wonderful, albeit relatively small garden beautifully maintained and a real credit to the National Trust for Scotland and the gardening staff. Have visited several times in recent years and it just gets better. Visit in May if you can to see the spring-flowering shrubs or in autumn when the foliage assumes its autumnal splendour - the maples in particular can be magnificent. And as a bonus, the garden is slowly being re-developed and most plants are labelled, and if not the friendly and helpful staff are only too willing to assist in identification.

Wonderful diversity. Well worth a visit if passing through Perth. Even in the rain. Friendly staff. Lovely teas on the lawn terrace served in fine bone china crockery. Head gardener is very friendly and approachable. The lady that makes the homemade scones makes them better than any Mary Berry recipe I've tried. What I wouldn't give for the recipe! Go! You won't be disappointed.

A beautiful garden & lovely coffee shop. Can’t believe I’ve never been before. Looking forward to visiting again. Plentiful car parking & very helpful volunteer staff.

We have often seen the direction signs for this garden when passing through Perth. On this occasion we had a spare few hours before we had to be back at our hotel for dinner, so this was our change.
Owned by NTS, the garden is SO worth a visit. It is so beautiful, full of very special plants, and easy enough to negotiate, despite being on a hill setting. The paths are well laid out, but it is such a joy to walk around that you wouldn't be upset if you covered the same route around the garden twice.
There is a cafe which we didn't use on this occasion. The majority of people partaking were seated at tables on the lawn. Next time we visit we will definitely allow time for tea.
There are loads and loads of plants - all very healthy - for sale, and plenty other buying options in the gift shop.
Definitely a delightful garden to pass an hour or two visiting.

A lovely little garden ideal for a short visit, Staff are very helpful and friendly. Thw tea room is also delightful with lovely cakes

First visit,and surprised how small the Gardens were,We were given a map of the plant lay out marked with numbers ? But no indication what the numbers meant.Went back later to ask the assistant at entrance hut and informed it’s something new and unsure what the purpose is .I did see a plot near start of the garden with no 25 on it, Some lovely plants ,but summer nearly over.
Although the cafe setting looked inviting ,unable to use the cafe as had afternoon tea booked at a local Hotel

Having lived for most of my life in the Perth area this was a wonderful surprise on my first ever visit. I never realised how much there was to see. The plants and flowers are wonderful and certainly worth a visit at different times of the year to see how they change. We had tea and scones outside in the gardens in the sun and it was a delight to be there. Highly recommend

Hello, when we visited we had to leave our dog in the car (in the shade) but maybe it would be worth asking at the office (just inside the gate). I think dogs should be allowed - they are much better behaved than some 'small people' I noticed on our last visit! I hope you have luck - maybe if you carry your dog -- I don't know but I don't hold out much hope, I know there's a beautiful walk at the Bridge - parking available too - and another walk behind the car park on the left about 200 yards before the bridge. Hope you enjoy Branklyn - it's gorgeous

Dogs are not allowed but last I heard they may be tied to the gate if they don’t cause a nuisance.
