A great way to wander round Dijon and see the city. The city is small and this lets you explore it at your own leisure. Go to the Tourist information centre to pick up a booklet for 4€ which give you information about Dijon and its landmarks as you walk about. Stop off enroute and enjoy a coffee and cake too there’s lots to choose from. Our fav was the La Buvate in the Market that does sparkling wine by the glass for about 5€

An easy walk around tour. Had to buy the book though as we were told the app no longer works!

A very nice walk in the center of Dijon, it is an overview of what the city offers to locals and tourists. If you visit buildings, shops etc, you should count well a morning or afternoon. Long live the slow-life and stop running to discover things in a hurry without really seeing what's around you

You'll need the owl trail app on your phone, otherwise the little owls are not always easy to find. We found the owl trail to be a fun and interesting way to explore the old town of Dijon and its magnificent architectural heritage. The trail takes you past the city markets, which are full of culinary delights and also well worth exploring.

Great way to introduce yourself to the historic areas of Dijon. We started at the tourist information office where we purchased the trail booklet for 4 euros. I know it has been mentioned that you don't need this booklet, but we found a few spots where we lost the trail, but because we knew what came next from the booklet, we were able to easily pick the trail back up (and it is only 4 euros for a nice little overview to each site with pictures.) While a few of the sites seemed minor to us, knowing this trail was here, allowed me to come to Dijon without much prior planning and know that I would see all the main highlights of the city. Plus, it created a fun way of going from site to site. Because we took some time going into some (definitely not all) of the sites, it took us the majority of the day to do only the main route. There are at least 3 side routes as well. (This can be a bit confusing when following the owl markers. You need to be sure they don't have the letters on them to stay on the main route.) This could definitely be broken into 2 or 3 days if you took time to visit all the sites The market comes near the end of the route, so keep this in mind, if you want to see it open. It had closed by the time we arrived.
I found Dijon to be a very nice, historic, accessible city that we truly enjoyed! This trail certainly helped with that.

Took the train to Dijon from Paris and spent the morning walking the Owl’s trail. First stop is near the train station. Worth the 4 euro for the tourist owl trail map with little write up on each location Easy to follow trail guides on the streets however we lost every once in awhile but was able to find the next sight Took us about two hours to do the 20 sites

Further to your request, the main trail is about 1 hour walking, and one of the steps leads to the Market. This is open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:00 am to 13:00 pm.

le parcours est indiqué sur un plan qu'on reçoit gratuitement (à la réception de l'hôtel, au service de l'information touristique...)
pour plus d'explications vous pouver charger une "app" sur votre portable, celle-ci coûte quelques Euros (pas cher)

The starting point of this tour is near the Darcy public parking (Darcy Place) in the heart of the historical center of Dijon.
You can also park your car in the Tremouille public parking (7 Boulevard de la Trémouille), the nearest from the tourist office.
