Agréable de se balader sur l’avenue de champagne.
Les maisons de champagne sont très bien décorées les unes des autres.
Le seul point négatif est que certaines maisons ne sont pas toujours ouvertes… Un regret.
Concernant les coupes de champagne, le prix est variable… Mais généralement aux alentours de 7euros.
À faire au moins une fois cette avenue…

Om de tijd te doden omdat we veel te vroeg waren voor onze champagne tour bij Nicolas Feuilatte besloten we een tochtje te maken door de wijn velden. Het was pluktijd, dus de oogst was in volle gang. Tussendoor kwamen we door Epernay, waar we toch meer van verwacht hadden. In de brede straat door Epernay zijn bijna alle belangrijke champagne huizen gevestigd. Leuk om te zien, maar niet meer dan dat. Een bezoek aan een wijnhuis maakt je er airing compleet.

Impressive buildings, great hospitality, stunning scenery and most of all delicious Champagne. My wife booked this and I wasn’t too sure but ended up been a highlight along with the whole town of Epernay itself. Plenty of Champagne houses to pick from and plan at least half a day if not more if you like a glass or five along with some great nibbles.

Nur etwas für Champagnerfans.... Für alle anderen lohnt es sich nicht. Sehr Laute Straße, Verkehr und außer Namensschilder nichts zu sehen

Wat een Avenue ! Vele grote namen uit de Champagne wereld zijn hier aanwezig met grote, mooie herenhuizen (kasteeltjes ..) Zeer leuke terrasjes om te proeven van de verschillende champagne-merken.

Superbe avenue très propre. De magnifiques demeures. De très jolies maisons de champagne où on peut rentrer pour découvrir les boutiques et les halls.
De plus on peut se garer dans l’avenue où les places sont gratuites.

Originally not in my plan because we are not big drinkers and don’t like Champagne very much; but it was worth the change in plans. It was different and interesting

A lovely evening walk past numerous champagne houses. During the day it’s possible to do tastings and tours but we have previously done that elsewhere so just wanted to take in the atmosphere and admire the buildings and well kept cobbled street.

Such a beautiful, clean wide avenue lined with gorgeous buildings. We really enjoyed walking the length of the Avenue taking in the views and the champagne houses. There are numerous beautiful courtyards where you can try the champagnes. The Hotel de Ville, by the tourist info, has stunning and quiet gardens.
Plenty of free on street parking.

A great end to our holiday. Beautiful champagne houses, a gorgeous street to stroll along and admire the gorgeous properties, all the famous champagne brands offering tastings. But the outstanding place for us was ‘Brut’ an independent bar/cave. What a great experience, made to feel so welcome, really informative talk about his wines, we especially enjoyed his organic champagnes.

Sorry I have only just seen this question. There is a car park in the centre of Eperney near the avenue. Unsure if this is free or not but the locals use this. We parked on the road near our b& b In a side street which was free. Hope this helps

Is it possible to just pop in for a glass of champagne or do i need to make appointments in these places and do a tour? We have small kids who won't put up with a tour or much standing about....

There are plenty of places you can have a glass for tasting. Plenty on Rue de Champagne or further out.

Hi Paul,
I am planning a champagne tasting trip this fall. I am interested in seeing some of the bigger houses but would love to see a lot of the smaller ones too. I am interested in knowing how you travelled between the smaller houses. I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to navigate around to the different smaller houses. Any advice would be appreciated.

We stayed in a gite in Trélou-Sur-Marne and the owners has a champagne house. One must make an appointment with the smaller houses. We had a tour& tasting with them, the wife could speak a little English. But wow! Want nice Champagne we tasted! So worth while finding the smaller houses!
