Physik und Biologie zum Anfassen und Ausprobieren. Hauptzielgruppe zweifellos Schulklassen und Eltern/Grosseltern mit Nachwuchs. Aber eben nicht nur, wir waren zu zweit als Paar dort und hatten durchaus Spass. Klar, es sind keine Neuigkeiten wenn man ein Gymnasium oder eine Uni von innen gesehen hat, aber interessant für ein paar nette Stunden allemal. Preise sind fair, Parkhaus direkt vor der Tür, Restaurant überraschend gut und preisgünstig. Besonders erwähnenswert: Die Mitarbeiter wollen helfen und erklären, schauen nicht weg wenn man vorbeikommt sondern kommen auf einen zu und erklären, teilweise musste man sie fast bremsen ;-) ein klare Schulnote 1 für die Mitarbeiter, auch und vor allem für die Dame beim Planetarium!!!

Erster Eindruck: wie freundlich und hilfsbereit das Personal ist! Anschließend ging es durch viele Stationen und Abteilungen. Es wurde nicht langweilig. Viel zum Sehen, Lernen, Ausprobieren! Interessanter 3D-Film im Science-Dome. Preiswertes Essen im Restaurant. Vielleicht wäre ein Hinweis auf den Pfandautomaten außerhalb des Restaurants angebracht, denn viele Leute lassen ihre Pfandflaschen auf den Tabletts. Sechs Stunden waren zu knapp kalkuliert, wir sind nicht fertig geworden und müssen noch einmal hin. Gerne! Gerne auch wieder am Freitag zum halben Preis. Ach ja: wir sind Ü50-Erwachsene und können uns auch an Experimenten begeistern, die wohl für Kinder konzipiert sind. Auch für große Kinder.

This museum is located in the city of Heilbronn and around 7-8 minutes walk from the Central station (hbf).
We purchased the family ticket for admission to museum as well as an optional ticket for the science dome show. I must say that the staff at the museum were super helpful especially considering the fact that we do not speak German. On top of that all the exhibits, displays, directions etc are also in English.
The museum is into 4 floors with 275 interactive exhibits although we didn't count it, just quoting from the website :). Each floor covers a particular area like wind, water, type of material, vegetation etc and so on. Everything is well explained in a fun way and kids will definitely have a fun time to go through various interactive experiements.
There is so much of stuff to absorb that 1 full day is going to be short. If you are somone who lives near the area, best option would be to go for the yearly pass. We explored the first 2 floors with lot of interest but after sometime got tired and could barely complete the floors 3 and 4. May be a visit divided in 2 days would do justice to so much of information in a fun entertaining way.
The museum ticket counter staff were very helpful and they advised us to go for only 1 science dome 3D show otherwise we would be missing out on museum experience. The show itself was around 30 minutes and lot of fun as well as educational. Appreciate the fact that rather than focusing on the ticket sale, they were more interested in us having the best of the museum.
Some tips:
1. The food at the cafe is very reasonably priced and tastes great.
2. You can get lockers to keep your backpack or other stuff for no charge. Just keep some 50 cents or 1 euro coin with you.
3. The toilets were very clean and well maintained.
4. The Museum is more geared towards the younger kids. I understand there is another Maker space section (in front of the museum) for lab like exposure. We couldn't go due to time conflict and I think that needs some appointment.
5. Try to be early by 9 AM and plan to stay till 1700 hours to have the full experience.
6. Even in the Science dome, you can get the devide to hear the program in english.
7. If possible, visit on a weekday as I am sure weekends would be too crowded.
8. The gift shop is well equipped and very reasonably priced.

I enjoyed it thoroughly even though I was 22 years old when I visited it with my boyfriend, it's super interesting and everything (instructions and explanations) is also available in English which is a big plus. Fun activities and learning, what a great combination.

Wir (2 Erwachsene) hatten einen tollen Tag in der experimenta. 6 Stunden mit einer kurzen Pause im Restaurant haben leider nicht gereicht, um alles zu erkunden. Wir kommen also gerne wieder1

My kids went to Experimenta with a group as a field trip. They had a fun time exploring and trying everything out.
Right now you can only purchase tickets online and the 3G rule applies.
They have small lockers also to store some items you don't want ti carry around.
The restaurant on site has a decent selection of foods and beverages and the prices are good.

Die Ausstellung ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail konzipiert und bietet für alle Kinder zwischen 2 und 99 etwas.

Ich habe den Besuch der Ausstellung meinem 8-jährigen Neffen zu Weihnachten geschenkt und wir haben seine 5-jährige Schwester mitgenommen.
Wir konnten uns im Vorfeld alle nicht so richtig etwas unter dieser Ausstellung vorstellen, waren aber nach 3,5 Stunden hellauf begeistert und kommen unbedingt wieder, weil die Zeit leider nicht für alle Etage ausgereicht hat.
Es gibt für jede Altersklasse sehr viel zu entdecken und auszuprobieren. Alles ist sehr digital . Unbeschreiblich und wirklich sehr schön gemacht.
Wir konnten uns im Vorfeld alle nicht so richtig etwas unter dieser Ausstellung vorstellen, waren aber nach 3,5 Stunden hellauf begeistert und kommen unbedingt wieder, weil die Zeit leider nicht für alle Etage ausgereicht hat.
Es gibt für jede Altersklasse sehr viel zu entdecken und auszuprobieren. Alles ist sehr digital . Unbeschreiblich und wirklich sehr schön gemacht.

Wir (ü 45) waren sehr begeistert von den Experimenten. Es ist absolut nicht nur für Kinder, auch für begweisterungsfähige, neugierige Erwachsene. Die Zeit ist wie im Flug vergangen und wir waren traurig, das wir um 17 Uhr gehen mussten. Man kann durch die Ausstellung gehen und je nach Etage frei die einzelnen Experimente machen. Die Mitarbeiter sind äussert hilfsbereit. Absolut empfehlenswert!
