This is the only way to see Berlin if you have limited time. We only had a day and a half, our guide Andromachi has such an incredible in depth knowledge of her city and it's history, and a passion to share that knowledge. This concept is great, we had a brand new electric hybrid Taxi and dedicated Driver, Daniel, for the entire trip. Our guide was able to focus on talking to us and responding to questions, as they were not driving. The access a taxi affords you is invaluable, just drive right up to the spot you want to see, and get out, driver waits, and you move on to the next spot. Would absolutely recommend this tour.

We took two 5-hours tours in Berlin. Our guide , Winfried, was the best we've ever met, beeing very knowlagable, dedicated and funny. He took us to the highlights of berlin, but also to some less known sites, which we would never have visited without him. He also spent a lot of his own time trying to help us with a problem we had with our BVG tickets. Our driver was also very nice and helpfull.

Winfried was our guide and did a superb job showing us the sights of central Berlin . He is a retired teacher with excellent language skills and a thorough sense of history. The driver, Daniel, was always available with his comfortable car, with no time wasted going from site to site. Another excellent Viator experience!

We are a group of 14 friends on a motor coach of the city of Berlin. Our fabulous tour guide was Winfried who greeted us at the train station and saw us safely back to our departure.
He guided through the busy sights while skilfully giving us information and answering all our questions. We appreciated his sharing his personal experiences, especially with regard to the Berlin Wall and the time period before and then after Berlin became one.
The day was as we hoped it would be, much thanks to the kindness, good nature and considerable knowledge imparted by Winfried.
A note about booking, all my questions were promptly and well answered.
We fourteen highly recommend A Friend in Berlin and our special tour guide, Winfried. It was freude!

We had a fantastic tour of Wannsee and Potsdam with our guide Luca. From the enlightening House of the Wannsee Conference, to the fabulous grounds of Schloss Cecilienhof and Sanssouci Palace, the quaint allure of the Old Dutch Quarter, the iconic "Bridge of Spies" and much more, this tour to the outskirts of Berlin was well worth our time (and money). There was much to see and be awe-inspired by, and Luca's friendly nature and trove of knowledge made the tour all the more interesting and memorable. Definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Berlin with 5-6 hours to spare!

Thomas is a brilliant guide & driver, knowing so much about what has taken place in the Berlin area. He has a lot of interesting things to tell about persons, places, events etc. and he knows where to stop for the best sights. 6 hours passed in a second.

Had a wonderful time with Thomas who provided us great insights to the history of the city. He is extremely knowledgeable about the city and it helped us appreciate the sites a lot more.
He was also flexible to plan this around the places we wanted to visit, without having a set agenda - that is a true example of a custom tour.
Will be sure to repeat this in near future with our family!
