The lock is beautiful JUST because it was painted in pink ❤️ It is worth it, especially thing if you own a remote controlled model boat!!

Amazing palace just outside Dusseldorf well worth a visit. 3 museums and lovely gardens. We were shown around by a very helpful and knowledgeable lady called Sophia Dohlings

The visit is quite quick, the audio guide to download to the phone is not very well done, there is music and blah and it does not go enough to the essentials.
The castle is very beautiful and well maintained.

The place needs an owner. Milieu is nice, but not in any way special. The exhibitions are simply sad. “Do not touch”. Poor lighting. Everything nur auf Deutsch.
Also, the trains only run to schedule about half the time. Locals confirm this as normal.

Without a doubt my favorite spot in Düsseldorf!. The palace and its gardens is like a fairy tale!. Its pink colour is unqiue. Magnificient French baroque style very well conserved. If you are into birdwatching this is the place to go. Not only you have the natural museaum on the East side of the palace, but its gardens feels like you are in the middle of the forest, and it’s home to many different breeds of birds. It also leads to the Rhein river stunning view. If you are looking for somewhere to have a brunch, or and afteenoon coffee, you have a lovely coffee place on the West side of the palace, with super nice staff. Last but not least! during Christmas the place is just super charming! enchanting!

You step out of Park in Schloss Uffer Strasse and want to experience it beautiful afternoon. Then freewheeling dog, or several, bothers us and stinks whole meadow of dog droppings. After 14 years of irregular meadow visits, we have been really annoyed by this lately. AND ONE MORE THING: Every time - when we sit there, older people asked me - the main thing with disability is where there is a toilet nearby. I am not a navigator - a sign (right 50M. in parking lot) can do that, right?.

If you're looking to get out of the Dusseldorf for an afternoon, then this small country house and its garden (about 30 minutes south of the centre) is a great place to go. Built as a summer house for Count Karl Theodor between 1755-1771 the exterior now is a bit run down, however renovation works are being carried out (summer 2024). We didn't visit the interior. The gardens are lovely, take about 1,5 hours to walk around them. Finish off with something to eat and drink in the café.

We came here specifically to visit the Natural History Museum. The U-bahn stops directly outside (Schloss Benrath line U72)
With a Düsseldorf card the tickets cost €11 for an adult and €7 for a child. You need to purchase your tickets at the Museum Shop, not the entrance to the actual museum. This gives entry to 2 x museums (I use this term lightly) and the castle (not a traditional castle, looks more like a stately home). All I can say is ‘Don’t waste your money!’ The Natural History museum is poor (we’ve visited many over the years) fairly small and is mostly full of stuffed birds. The second museum (of garden art) was incredibly dull (and I’m an avid gardener!)
The grounds are nice and worth a walk round if you are in the area but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to visit. Overall a disappointing experience and we left feeling completely ripped off.

Germany and I... we have a love-hate relationship, I have lived, lived and worked there. We go way back together. I love being in Germany. I wanted to show my love Düsseldorf, a place I have been a lot. The Kö, that Altstadt and therefore also Schloß Benrath. We were very kindly received. When we wanted to walk into the castle, a slipperless lady pointed us to the basket of slippers. We had to wear this one! All sorts of things went through my head, dirty woolen large (one size fits all) slippers! I sandal bare feet with my pedicured feet (important to me) in that boot. Why! The idea that more people would have worn these slippers, with open or closed shoes, bah! Molds, street dirt and what if I slip?
With a lot of paper from the paper dispenser on the toilet, tip from the slipperless lady, we went inside. The floors are cleaned by the visitors themselves, though. Fortunately there was a warning halfway through the castle, watch out for slips....is this sufficient if I do slip or who is responsible for the cost of treatment (this is a primary German approach in any situation). We did not experience this in Rome and Florence to schlep through the Vatican in slippers. Castle was fine, there is no furniture and the rooms that are interesting are locked. We called it a day fairly quickly and sat down in the lovely cafe in the garden, tasty dumps and coffee under the trees. Better!

You need to purchase tickets at the book store located near street entrance and meet the guide at the front door of Schloss.. Recommend the Guided tour well worth it....Cannot get inside unless with a tour. Just seeing the floors, fake walls and secret passages was cool....

Nicht direkt am Schloss. Die Urdenbacher Allee südwärts und an der Orangerie (Bücherei) rechts rein von Benrath aus. Dann zu Fuß nach Norden, links der Blumen- und rechts der Gemüsegarten mit evtl. Verkaufsstand. Links der Spielplatz schon sieht man das Schloss von hinten mit Aussicht auf den Spiegelweiher.

На метро очень просто. В зависимости от куда будете ехать можно по карте посмотреть они на каждой станции,Вам нужна остановка Schloss Benrath. Если из центра то с одной пересадкой,билет 2.70 в один конец на 74 доехать до Holt-hausen а там пересесть на 71 и до Schloss Benrath. Выйти из метро и замок сразу увидите.
