This large and amazingly detailed bronze sculpture tells the story of Dusseldorf from 1288. It was sculpted in 1988 and, for me, was the most interesting thing we saw on our walking tour of the city.
Worth hunting out. Hopefully, like me, you will find the detail and craftsmanship fascinating.

デュッセルドルフ旧市街北側にある聖ランベルトゥス教会とブルク広場の間にある像です。思わず二度見してしまうような存在感ある銀色の像で、武装ほう起した人や馬が今にも動き出しそうな感じでした。傍を通られたときには足を停めて見学されてはと思います。

Una statua particolare, su cui ci si imbatte per caso e all'improvviso, specialmente in inverno quando gli alberi e le nuvole la nascondono dalla luce, e appena la si vede, si rimane colpiti dalla ricca presenza di dettagli e dal livello di interazione volutamente creato con chi la osserva, una cosa in cui le nazioni del nord Europa sono molto brave.

Stadterhebungsmonument – ist ein historisches Denkmal, welches zum 700-Jahrfeier errichtet worden ist. Zu den Motiven zählt die Schlacht von Worringen, die Besiegelung der Stadterhebungsurkunde und die Erhebung der St. Lambertus.

The Stadternahmemonument is the most unique statue I have ever seen. Located in the Old Town, this large monument was created in 1988, commemorating the 700th anniversary of the city rights to Dusseldorf, Germany. We were treated to a detailed explanation of this beautiful statue by locals

Couldn't quite fathom why this was rated the third best thing to see in Dusseldorf, but, nonetheless, I happened upon it by chance and spent a moment with it, before continuing to explore.

Монумент связанный с получением Дюссельдорфом статуса города и отражает историю связанную с этим событием. В интернете это описано достаточно подробно. От себя добавлю, что детали памятника тщательно проработаны и его интересно рассматривать. The monument is associated with obtaining Dusseldorf city status and reflects the history associated with this event. This is described in sufficient detail on the Internet. I would like to add that the details of the monument are carefully worked out and it is interesting to consider it.

I was there. Actually the sculpture is nice, but it is always dirty and I cannot say that was really worth to see.

Monumento en bronce para conmemorar la concesión de los derechos de la ciudad a Düsseldorf . Se encuentra en Joseph-Wimmer-Gasse en la esquina de Müller-Schlösser-Gasse en el casco antiguo. La escultura fue realizada por Bert Gerresheim, en 1988 con motivo del 700 aniversario. Los motivos incluyen la batalla de Worringen , el sellado de la escritura de elevación de la ciudad y la elevación de la iglesia parroquial, consagrada a San Lambertus, al estatus de canónigo.

The city survey monument is a memorial to commemorate the granting of city rights to Düsseldorf . It is located on the Joseph-Wimmer-Gasse corner of Müller-Schlösser-Gasse in the old town. The plastic was made by Bert Gerresheim . It was built in 1988 to celebrate the 700th anniversary. The motifs include the Battle of Worringen , the sealing of the city survey certificate and the elevation of the parish church dedicated to St. Lambertus to the Canon Foundation.
