A bit like Spain: a fantastic blend of different styles

Little is left of the original "al Qasr" built by the Islamic dynasties that once ruled Al-Andalus. What you can observe now is the result of centuries of Christian "civilization", though the Moorish influence is very visible especially in the ornamentation, but also in the architectural design of the courtyards. For me it was rather difficult the discern the different styles and time periods during which the various sections of the complex were built and added.

My highlights: Patio de las Doncellas and the Hall of Ambassadors (don't forget to look up).

Recommend to study Spanish history before you go.

de multiples recoins ou faire de belles photos souvenirs !
par contre, pour visiter les appartements du roi, il semblerait qu'il faille réserver 2 mois à l'avance !! n'espérez pas, comme nous, acheter votre billet sur place ...
Et emmenez votre déjeuner, cela vous évitera de manger pour très cher des pizzas ou sandwichs (peu de choix)

Réservation obligatoire pour visiter les appartements royaux

Je vous conseille vivement de faire votre réservation en avance afin de pouvoir profiter de la visite des appartements royaux (supplément en plus de l'entrée classique, petits groupes de 15 personnes à un horaire fixe). Avec votre billet vous pouvez également entrer sans faire la queue dans l'alcazar car le personnel guette les visiteurs qui ont un billet pour cette visite. Vous devez impérativement être ponctuels car les portes de l'appartement de referme après l'entrée du groupe, et cette visite est encadrée par un guide afin d'assurer le respect des horaires (30 minutes!).
Concernant l'Alcazar, des guides agréés vous attendent devant l'entrée et vous proposent leurs services (10 € / personne pour 1 heure de visite). Nous avons été très satisfaits du nôtre.

You can spend all day wandering through this amazing palace, the history, tile work were so impressive, but for me, time wandering in the beautiful gardens, especially when I beat the crowd to one garden area & had some 1 on 1 time with a peacock- was a special highlight. Best to get your ticket in advance & go early.

Alcázar Real de Sevilla is the Royal Palace of Seville. The Moorish complex is one of the most famous Seville attractions and clearly should not be missed during a city visit. My wife and I visited as part of a larger guided tour and found the experience fascinating.

Dopo una fila di circa mezz’ora, riusciamo a visitare il Real Alcazar, palazzo straordinario con sale interne magnifiche e opulente. Altrettanto belli i giardini.
Utile l’applicazione che consente ai visitatori di avere una descrizione audio dettagliata, inquadrando il QR Code posizionato nei pannelli all’inizio di ogni sala.
Un posto che lascia davvero senza fiato…un vero tuffo nella storia!

Lovely gardens

I enjoyed the Real Alcazar, but like many sites we experienced in Andalusia, it was very crowded and hard to find a spot to soak in the experience and really enjoy it. We finally found a quiet, shady cafe near the exit to quench our thirst and catch a breath. The gardens are especially lovely.

Es empfiehlt sich, die Tickets am Vortag online zu kaufen. Man muss eine Uhrzeit angeben und zu dieser sollte man auch am Eingang sein.
Das Alcazar besteht aus mehreren Gebäuden, welche verschiedene Architekturstile und Epochen aufzeigen. Im hinteren Teil befindet sich ein sehr schöner Garten mit Bänken im Schatten, die zum Verweilen einladen. Zudem gibt es ein kleines Cafè, welches Snacks und Getränke zu einem fairen Preis anbietet.

Esta bien … pasas un rato agradable… pero esperábamos mucho más de lo que vimos… veníamos con las espectadoras muy altas tal vez… si no vas tampoco te vas a arrepentir sobre todo porque no es barata la entrada
