This chapel is the Chapel of the Purification, but also known as the Chapel of the Constables from the tombs of the Constables of Castiles, Pedro Fernandez de Velasco and Mencia de Mendoza. It’s really difficult to explain just how magnificent this chapel is. The two tombs of the Constables immediately stand out in the centre of the chapel, their statues carved from marble with even the most minute of details beautifully carved into their funerary statue monuments. There are three altarpieces in the chapel. Although all are beautiful, the main altarpiece of the Presentation is by far the most spectacular. It’s a renaissance piece covered in gold, depicting scenes of the Presentation of the Child and the Purification of Mary.
The star-shaped openwork vault at the centre of the dome of the chapel is an absolute triumph of Gothic architecture. It’s a perfect blend of glass traceries and decorated keystones.

A very beautiful and grand chapel right behind the main altar of the Burgos Cathedral. A knight, who received the highest royal honor, is buried with his wife in this chapel which is sometimes referred to as a cathedral within the Cathedral. It can be visited only with the entrance to the main Burgos Cathedral. A “must see”!

Fue mandada construir por Pedro Fernández de Velasco y su esposa Mencia de Mendoza, la obra de Simón de Colonia, joya del gótico isabelino fue terminada en 1496. Su bóveda estrellada es sencillamente espectacular. Los sepulcros yacentes de los condestables están tallados en mármol de Carrara por Felipe Vigarny. La capilla tiene una preciosa decoración heráldica y cuenta con fantásticos retablos. Una joya dentro de otra joya.

Ha una cupola ottagonale molto particolre e bella. Conserva due tombe, le cui statue di marmo sono un capolavoro. Stupende.

La piu' grande tra le innumerevoli cappelle all'interno della cattedrale.Grande quanto una chiesa e' uno scrigno di bellezze.
Colonne,retabli,due sepolcri ( uno incompleto), sede del riposo eterno dei conestabili ( dignitari reali).Volta a vela.

La catedral estaba preciosa y más con la nueva exposición de Lux, el arte sacro es precioso, estaba todo genial tallado y esculpido. Me encantó la escapada, por cierto la Catedral de Burgos, está por el centro.

Bella questa cappella della cattedrale, molto sontuosa, non è proprio la mia parte preferita, ma desta sicuramente l'attenzione dei visitatori

En el interior de la Catedral se encuentra la Capilla del Condestable de Castilla en ella hay un retablo magnifico.
Todo la capilla es espectacular y requiere que le dediqueis tiempo a admirar todos los detalles
