Armas Huelva-Lanzarote, experiencia bastante positiva, el barco casi no se mueve, así que genial. Tiene una pequeña piscina para entretener a los nenes, los míos se lo pasaron bomba saltando, el agua helada. Área infantil para pasar el rato. El camarote no estaba mal. El wifi imposible de coger, salvo en medio de la noche que logré conectarme. Restaurantes con comida pasable, nada del otro mundo, pero no está mal, variedad y cantidad suficiente para el trayecto. Al final no se me hizo tan largo.

Read reviews which were not good reading, however thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt. What a relief as it was far better than we expected. Very organised from start to finish. Food not brilliant but we were prepared by taking some of our own food which helped.

Ich, mein Hund mit Wohnmobil. Teneriffa-Huelva.

Nach 2 Monaten habe ich mir gedacht dass ich mich beruhigt habe...ich schreibe ungern Rezensionen aber, nein. Es war ein Alptraum.

1), im Internet war nicht möglich ein Ticket zu kaufen, weil Hund und Womo das System überfordert haben. (wie im Mittelalter). Seit 10 Jahren kann ich schon Visa für die USA per Internet machen, aber (ein Ticket bei )Armas scheint noch nicht für das Internet gewappnet zu sein.

2) 3000km!!! gefahren, um persönlich ein Ticket zu kaufen. Ich musste sagenhafte 40 Tage warten. Ok. Keine Wahl. Die Bedienung war alles nur nicht höflich...

3) Bei Rückfahrt wollten sie mich nicht auf die Fähre lassen, weil mein Womo 7,42 meter lang ist, und im Ticket "5,01" stehen soll...Wenn man es drauf findet...dazu noch spaeter...

4) am Schalter: ich musste ich extra ca. 170 EUR zahlen und ich "solle mich freuen dass von Huelva nach Teneriffa es nicht gemerkt wurde und ich so weniger bezahlt habe!"
Hier bekam ich die erste Gehirnblutung.

5) Der Chef: ' ich soll mich freuen, weil er mir einen Gefallen tut, und wenn ich den Betrag extra noch dazu bezahle, lasst mir auf die Fähre auf..."
Hier bekam ich die zweite Gehirnblutung.

6) 2te Dame an der Schalter, (schick angezogen, sehr' höfflich') gelacht: "zuerst bezahlen, dann reklamieren!"
Hier habe ich mich wie der letzte Betrüger gefühlt..

Einzige Pluspunkt die Fähre selbst war ganz ok. Die Crew und die Mahlzeiten waren ok.
Die Kabine waren auch angemessen, bequem, mehr sauber hätten es sein können.

7) ich habe ein Ticke jetzt. (für ca.1000 EUR nur hinfahrt für Herbst) gekauft, aber bei Fred Olsen. Dort steht auch auf dem Ticket »5 meter. (mehr als 5 meter, ich habe es jetzt gemerkt, und mir wurde bestätigt, dass es passt, im System wir das so aufgezeichnet)

Ich habe reklamiert, interessierte es nichst besonders: "ich hätte es auf das Ticket sehen müssen!", es hatte sie nicht interessiert dass ich das Ticket nicht selbst im Internet sondern bei Ihren Kolleginen im Büro gekauft habe...

Man muss darüber nachdenken, nach 3 Monaten Urlaub, wenn ich kein 170 EUR mehr übrig habe...
Wenn ich es selbst im Internet kaufe und falsche Angaben mache, ok mein Fehler...aber in dem Fall...

Aber irgendwie diese Mentalietaet bei Armas im Hafen...

Wie ich es "erfahren" habe, viele kaufen da Ticket im internet, und geben falsche Laengenangaben, damit es günstiger wird, deshalb sollen sie wahrscheinlich bei mir angenommen haben, dass ich auch so betrügerisch vorgehe...
Nichts genutzt, dass ich persönlich das Ticket gekauft habe.

Das ist kein Standard. Und ich war im 2 Büros bei Armas... und man kennt das gefühl, von Früher... von den Behörden...sie machen uns einen Gefallen...und wir sollten uns geehrt fühlen.

Aber wie kann sein, das die Crew am Bord nett und höfflich ist, aber bei dem Schalter so ein ein "Schaufensterpuppengrupp" ohne jegliche Rücksicht einem behandelt.

Schande!

Und es soll nur 2 Gesellschaften geben...man ist bestimmterweise ausgeliefert...

Und wenn ich gemeiner sein sollte, diese Behandlung ist wie die Ostblockmentalitaet in Europa vor 30-40 Jahren...

Tras la salida del buque muelle de los cristianos destino san sebastian de la gomera decidimos sentarnos en la terraza para pasar un rato agradable ya que ofrecian al cliente el servicio de bebida y ambiente de musica(lo cual hace mas ameno este viaje )por este motivo siempre elijo viajar con esta compañia la cual la diferencia de las demas.
Tras el transcurso de 10 minutos decido consumir en la barra de la terraza ,cual mi sorpresa fue que el camarero decide cerrar y dejar a los clientes sin consumir ,dandome la respuesta que el lleva trabajando desde las 11 de la mañana .
Yo no entro en discusion y decido comprar dentro del barco la consumicion.
Tras esta experiencia no volvere a viajar en esta compañia por falta de profesionalidad de sus empleados.

Fui de tenerife a la Palma en naviera Armas, empiezan a entrar los coches cuando es la hora de salir ,me voy a desayunar y me pegan una clavada , que bonito sería que todo el mundo consumiera en el bar no que se traerán todo el mundo su comida . Fue un viaje lento y encima Fredolsen llega antes que Armas

I was supposed to sail directly from Gran Canaria to La Palma in 13 hours.
Without prior notice the schedule was changed. I heard this only when I arrived in the harbour.

We left in time, but when the ship arrived on the island Tenerife it was 03:00 and I found myself totally alone and lost in a cold and dark harbour with no one around since the terminal building was closed. I tried to sleep a little in front of the terminal on a wooden bench, but was sent away by a security officer. I refused to leave, because I think it is the reponsibility of Naviera Armas to take care of their passengers, who have to spend an unplanned night in the transfer harbour.

After half an hour the security officer came back with four (!) policemen, who kicked me of the terrain and said I could sleep on the street next to the fence/marina. As woman of around 60 I felt pretty unsafe there and slept next to nothing.

The next morning on my own cost, I had to organise a bus to Los Christianos on the other side of Tenerife and had to spend a whole day there before the boat to La Palma left, even making an extra stop on La Gomera.

When arriving on La Palma around midnight the last bus to the other side of the island, where I was supposed to meet someone, was long gone and I had to spent an extra night in a hotel.

All in all:
- I was not informed about the changes in my trip.
- I spent a horrible night in the harbour of Tenerife, because the terminal was closed.
- I had to spend extra money on the bus on Tenerife.
- In a trip of 13 hours I had in total a delay of 12 hours.
- The customer service of Naviera Armas is hard to reach, but finally replied to my complaint by mail, but no straightforward answer to any of my questions and no excuses.

Sorry for the environment, but next time I'll take the plane!

I went from Santa Cruse de Tenerife to Arrecife Lanzarote. The journey is 17! hours with a stop in Las Palmas GC for 8 hours!! At the Armas service desk on the busstation the employees reacted very unfriendly to my questions about getting to the terminal. It was my first negative experience on Tenerife. Arriving at the terminal itself was difficult. There's no guiding navigation. Yes, a blue line. And I had to stop at an industrial style parking halfway for which I did not know was the Armas terminal. At Las Palmas there's no storage for luggage and I asked an employee to store my luggage but they're not allowed to be responsible.
When I've went into the shuttle bus to the city, a manager appeared commanding everybody from Tenerife to get out. "If Las Palmas is not your destination, then get a taxi. The free shuttlebus is not for you". You'll have to wait in the terminal. Without a restaurant or café. (For 8 hours). Compared to flying you pay twice the amount of money, but normally I prefer a boat.

Mar horroroso. Gran parte del pasaje vomitando. Tripulación profesional y empática: ayudando con todo tipo de cuidados. Me pusieron hielo en los pies. El cariño con que me atendieron no tiene precio. Ojalá el mundo tuviera más personas así.
Gracias a los tres componentes de la tripulación.

Retraso de más de tres horas en el trayecto de Tenerife a La Palma. No nos dan ninguna explicación hasta prácticamente haber llegado ni ningún tipo de bonificación, pese a que hemos perdido TODA la mañana en el barco.

On Thursday 25th November 2021, a friend and I boarded the morning ferry. During the trip I needed to visit the Ladies Toilet on the Restaurant deck. An experience I do not wish to repeat! I was pre-warned by another passenger that one cubicle was in a disgusting state. The toilet was full of urine, paper and excrement, both in the bowl and on the sides. The flush was obviously not working and they most certainly had not been checked for a while. The only other usable cubicle was engaged and the unlucky occupant called out to those of us waiting, to ask us to push the door as there was no handle on the inside. When I entered the cubicle, this toilet was also full of urine and the cistern cover was missing and the flush not working. I had to release the door closure lever to enable the door to open more easily.

As I left the ferry, I reported to a male member of staff that the toilets were disgusting and needed urgent attention. I did not visit that particular toilet on my return to Tenerife, so cannot say whether this was satisfactorily remedied.

On our return, my friend visited the Gents Toilet and found that the urinals were smashed and only a couple of cubicles available. I visited a different Ladies Toilet to the earlier one and was not impressed by the general state of these either.

My friend commented on the grubbiness of the tables in the dining area and neglected seating in the video area and was also disgusted by the filth of the outside areas of the ferry, including the 'viewing' windows at the bow.

At the start of the trip, passengers had to embark via the car deck and again at the end of the trip, for reasons unexplained.

The minimal staff that were apparent, were both smart and courteous. I feel sorry that they have to work in such run-down conditions.

"The vessel was first put into service in June 2006, adding to the already
impressive fleet held by Naviera Armas."

It is time to amend the above statement as it insinuates that the ARMAS Volcan de Taburiente is impressive by default. We will not be using the Armas Ferry again and will most certainly not be recommending it to anyone else. Fred Olsen Ferries put them to shame.
