Well worth a visit. Pay attention to the ticket you buy as some let you access the museum in the crypt as well. The rooftop is amazing with beautiful views across the square and amazing views of the stone masonry.

AN amazing place. The architecture of the dome is very beautiful. It is always crowded and a big line to wait in line to enter the dome.

If I had known I had to climb 3 flights of open air stairs after the elevator with I having no hand rail I would not have done this. The sloping roof with nothing to hold onto at the top of the stairs was almost too much for a person afraid of heights.

Buy your tickets online to avoid the ticket office queue.
The Duomo is well worth seeing for the scale and particularly the lead light windows.
You can enter without charge but only to a small area set aside for prayers.

We did a tour of the Duomo and Rooftop Terraces. The views were amazing. The cathedral is fabulous to look at inside and out. The tour guide was very informative.

Είναι ο μεγαλόπρεπος ναός γοτθικού ρυθμού που έχω επισκεφτεί . Νομίζω ότι κάθε ταξιδιώτης στο Μιλάνο θα πρέπει μπεί στο εσωτερικό του καθώς και να επισπεφτεί το πλούσιο μουσείο του ναού που βρίσκεται ακριβώς στην δεξιά πλευρά έξω από τον ναό.

Once in a lifetime opportunity to tour this truly amazing church, so ancient and beautiful. Beware there are over 200 steps coming down if you decide to go up to rooftop which really should not be missed. Since my husband has neuropathy in his feet our tour guide was able to bring us down by the elevator that brings you up. But if not for her we would not have been able to go up under the circumstances. My friend walked down and he said it was winding and confining stairway coming down so be prepared. Magnificent architecture and views from top, historic stained glass, sculptures, etc. etc, not to be missed.

Utilizzando il biglietto fast track, in pochi minuti di attesa siamo saliti con l’ascensore al tetto, potendo gustare la
Bellezza architettonica delle figlie da vicino, oltre ad una vista mozzafiato sulla città.
Scesi con le scale abbiamo avuto accesso all’interno del Duomo, potendo gustare appieno la sua gotica bellezza.

We were not able to visit inside due to a concert the evening we were there- but the visit of the roof and terraces was amazing in itself. You cannot be amazed and feel that something has been lost in our construction practices over time. There is beauty everywhere you look- and really take time to look at all the small details.

Hi everyone. I’m looking at purchasing advance tickets for the Duomo rooftop. I noticed the website says ticket is good for 3 days from date chosen for visit but then it also makes you pick a time slot. Can you not just show up at any time during the day that you choose and use your ticket then? Thank you in advance for your help.

It may depend on the day, but I would stick to the time your ticket identifies. I chose evening near sunset and that was incredible! A soloist was singing “Hallelujah” when I got to the top. Something I will never forget. As this cathedral has millions of visitors per year, they want to do what they can to preserve it while making it accessible to everyone who wants to see it.
I'm planning on attending a guided tour w/ rooftop access after checking out of my accommodation so will have my backpack with me. It's a regular sized backpack but will have my toiletries, chargers, clothes, etc. with me... do you foresee this being a problem & if so, is there locker storage available onsite or nearby?

If you could leave your bag at your accomodation that might be better. The bag search is very thorough and you might not be allowed to take a large bag through.

Hi, If I buy a Milano Duomo pass with lift to rooftop, can I visit different sites of Duomo in different day within 72 hours of the time slot? For example, I go inside the cathedral at the time slot of the day of the ticket and come back next day to go up the rooftop or/and museum part?

salve quando si intende un'ora e mezza con guida e compreso anche la visita alle aree archeologiche e terrazze

No terrazze e area archeologica sono senza guida.. solo le terrazze ci vanno un ora se nn ha l ascensore nel biglietto... e quasi 40 minuti l area archeolohica
