This pretty little monastery is in a lovely garden. It is quite small but the plants and flowers are lovely. You do have to cover shoulders and thighs but they provide scarves to do so at the entrance. You can walk up from the beach but it is quite steep so best to drive up if you can.

Ankom og fik et sammensat bord trods pladsmangel sent på aftenen. Super imødekommende og fik en fantastisk mad oplevelse. Selv de unge spiste alt incl. dessert. Virkelig den bedste oplevelse på turen og vi prøver st bestille bord den sidste aften inden afrejse. Fantastisk udsigt fra terrassen. Prøv Il Pozza når I alligevel er i nærheden😉👍

Worth a visit if you have an hour or so to spare. There is a restaurant across from it that's very clean and has some excellent views. The Monastery was closed from noon to 2pm. There are some interesting artifacts and a museum. I'm not religious but you do get a sense of dedication over the centuries.
There are a lot of cats that the monks look after and people are known to dump kittens and cats up there knowing they will be looked after
Cotton skirts are provided free of charge for ladies to cover their legs

Pleasant walk up from the beach or you can drive if you dont feel up to it. Some really good photo opportunities, although it doesnt take long to walk around.

Went to palekastritsa for the day, while there went to look at the monastery, was definitely worth a visit if your there. Wouldn’t specially venture for this solely. Offered great views and was interesting to learn about the history.

Drive on past the beach and tat shops. There’s a traffic system which makes it easy to drive the last km or so up to the monastery. If you look out over the viewpoint to right of the entrance you’ll spot a cross high up on an outcrop above the sea and there’s a path which is an easy climb to it. Inside the monastery you can enter the church and separate museum (where there’s also a shop selling religious icons and postcards etc) the flower gardens are well kept and colourful. Well worth making the effort, even if you don’t have a car and have to walk up from the beach (good exercise!!)

Praticamente si parcheggia qualche metro prima dell'ingresso del monastero. Magari in pieno agosto potrebbe esserci il pienone. Dalla spiaggia e dal monastero c'è un semaforo temporizzato che consente l'accesso alla strada.

Sorry late reply. Take the earliest bus from Corfu town is the cheapest way and then spend the day there. Take your swim wear and preferably swim shoes. Monastery visit first straight up the hill from the buses last stop. Then pick a cove for abit of a dip and sunbathing or take a boat trip at 10 euros each. Lastly finish off with a meal at the harbour. Spend all day here as it’s the best place on island.

Con quale mezzo potremmo recarci là dal porto o da Corfù città?

Troppo tirati come tempo, considerate in auto 30 min per tratta, quindi 1h la impiegate solo per la strada, il tempo che affittate una macchina, perché con altri mezzi si perde troppo tempo e la strada non è favorevole per scooter o quad.. Al porto presenti vari autonoleggi
