Kjøpte billett Oslo Kiel. Måtte bytte reisen til annen dato. Gebyr kr. 950.00. Dette må vel være toppen av grådighet. Jeg snakket med color Line i 5 minutter for å få en annen reisedag for samme reisen. 950.00 kroner i gebyr. Fy f.

Wir sind mit der Color Fantasy von Olso nach Kiel gefahren. Eine durchwachsene Erfahrung. Wir hatten eine „3 Sterne Innenkabine“ mit Einzelbetten gebucht. Bekommen haben wir ein Doppelbett. Im Prinzip ist diese Fährfahrt eine einzige Abkassiererei! Bei der „3 Sterne Innenkabine“ ist das Frühstück nicht dabei, man muss es extra bezahlen. Was aber echt ätzend ist, in dieser klaustrophobischen Blechkiste von Kabine, man fühlt sich wie ein Huhn in einer Legebatterie, gibt es für zwei Personen nur einen einzigen armseligen kleinen Hocker und sonst keine Sitzgelegenheit. Auf dem ganzen Schiff gibt es nirgendwo mal Sitzecken, wo man sich einfach hinsetzen kann. Jede Sitzgelegenheit im Schiff ist mit einem Zwangskauf verbunden, den sitzen kann man nur in Cafes, Pubs, Bars, Restaurants, etc. Kein Sitz ohne Kaufzwang. Sicher an Deck gibt es ein paar Stühle und Liegen, ist halt nur doof bei starkem Wind und Regen.
Kommen wir zurück zu dieser klaustrophobischen Blechkiste von Kabine. Im Laufe der Nacht wird die Luft da drin so warm und stickig, dass man nicht schlafen kann. Keine Klimatisierung, nur die Möglichkeit, die Temperatur 3 Grad höher oder niedriger als das „Soll“ einzustellen. Keine Frischluft, sondern nur „technische Luft“ aus diesem Gebläseding unter der Decke. Dann gibt es in diesem winzigen Raum keinen Platz um Gepäck unterzubringen oder einen Koffer so zu lagern, dass man dran kommt. Man muss den Koffer immer aufs Bett wuchten, wenn man etwas rausnehmen oder reinpacken will. Ansonsten steht der Koffer immer irgendwie im Weg, weil es eben kaum Platz gibt. Immerhin ist das kleine Bad ok und funktional.
Wenigstens sind die Preise in den Restaurants akzeptabel. Das Essen ist bezahlbar, reichlich und gut, das Bier billiger als in Norwegen.
Ein Erlebnis war diese Fährfahrt aufgrund dieser schrecklichen Unterbringung in diesem engen Blechkasten von Kabine und den fehlenden Möglichkeiten für einen „kauffreien“ Aufenthalt im Sitzen nicht. Immerhin ist es an Deck schön, wenn man durch den Olso-Fjord fährt oder in Kiel einläuft und man den Anblick genießen kann. Wenn man sich die Preise auf der Webseite anschaut – wir haben eine komplette Reise per Agentur gebucht, bei der die Fährfahrt mit im Preis war - dann ist das, was da geboten wird, doch deutlich überteuert. Ohne Rabatte kostet „Auto, zwei Personen, 3 Sterne Innenkabine“ über 1000 Euro. Zuviel!

It was an excellent experience on the Color Line ferry; this ferry is simply one of the best in Europe and a very interesting connection to take if you want to travel from Norway to Germany and/or the Netherlands. The restaurants alone are amazing.
Initially we wanted to travel from Eemshaven to Kristiansand and back. However, we did our research on Ferrygogo.com we read that the ferry moved from Eemshaven to Emden and had some issues with departures, that's when we took the big step to not go back on this ferry and take the Kiel Oslo Colorline ferry instead. This was a great choice. What a ferry, what a trip. Especially the diner and restaurants were amazing.

When you board the ship you are in awe but only for a short while.
The standard cabins are not very comfortable. A bed/sofa that leans slightly over doesn’t sleep comfortably.
Don’t expect any space to sit with family for just a card game or some chatting. If you want to sit you sit in a bar or restaurant and you need to Pay. Norwegian prices so if you want to sit somewhere while not eating and sleeping you do need to spend serious money or drink very slowly.
The grand buffet in the evening is not worth your money. Cold fries and burgers for the kids, meat dripping in blood or very chewy, veggies also not very tasty, Salomon that takes aweful and lots of seafood that I didn’t dare to eat looking at the quality of the other food.
Breakfast is very limited English breakfast. there are some yoghurt and fruits(didn’t look fresh). It tasted better than the evening meal but it was just okay.
Maybe the other restaurants offer more value for money.
The swimming pool (paid) was closed after we paid entrance due to bad water quality. The people inside could still swim but we were denied access. The only reason you would want to go on this boat with kids and otherwise mainly elderly cruise passengers, is the swimming pool. We needed to go to lots of trouble to get some compensation for the disappointed kids. They certainly do not care about the customer experience.

More a cruise than a ferry trip. Nice and clean cabin, good food on board and a nice show on top. Time/km fly whitout any effort.

Wir sind als Familie mit 2 Kindern (6+8) von Kiel nach Oslo und wieder zurück. Beide Male mit der Fantasy. Über die Weihnachtstage und Neujahr kostet die Überfahrt 1.325€ mit Auto. Wenn man bedenkt, dass man die Strecke auch mit Auto und einer Übernachtung im Hotel fahren kann, Kosten für Benzin und Hotel Pro Tour ca. 250-300€ dann stimmt das Preis Leistung Verhältnis für mich nicht. Man erkauft sich für den Mehrpreis eine „gemütlichere“ Überfahrt zzgl. der Kosten für Essen, Getränke und Unterhaltung damit die Zeit vergeht. Und ganz ehrlich, wirklich was zu erleben gibt es für meinen Geschmack auf der Fähre nicht. Und im Standard Zimmer auf 4qm verbringen sie keine Zeit außer das Übernachten selbst mit 2 Kindern. Kann man machen…oder auch lassen.
P.S. Da viele Kommentare schreiben, dass Getränke und Essen auf dem Schiff teuer sind…vergleicht bitte die Preise an Land in Norwegen selbst…nach 7 Tagen in Norwegen an Land und ein paar Einkäufen und Essen gehen später, empfand ich die Preise auf dem Schiff auf der Rückfahrt als sehr angenehm 😀.
P.S. Da viele Kommentare schreiben, dass Getränke und Essen auf dem Schiff teuer sind…vergleicht bitte die Preise an Land in Norwegen selbst…nach 7 Tagen in Norwegen an Land und ein paar Einkäufen und Essen gehen später, empfand ich die Preise auf dem Schiff auf der Rückfahrt als sehr angenehm 😀.

Wir sind von Kiel nach Oslo gefahren. Wir hatten eine Aussenkabine und für den letzten Tag im Oktober richtig geiles Wetter. In der Kabine war alles was wir brauchten. In den vielen Restaurants war Abwechslung in den Speisen vorhanden. Preislich sicherlich hoch, aber das ist es trotz allem wert. Die Abendshow war toll, das Schiff nicht so überlaufen. Für meine Tochter im Teenalter war es etwas schwierig was zu finden. Entweder für ganz kleine oder volljährige. Die goldene Mitte fehlte. Ruhige Fahrt gewesen.

Hadde en fantastisk tur på minicruise til Kiel med Color Magic. Hadde booket en 3-stjerners innvendig lugar med dobbeltseng. Lugaren holdt god standard og var forholdsvis romslig. Spiste på Oceanic (3-retters) første kvelden og buffet til middag andre kvelden. Maten var fantastisk god begge dagene. Ut over det har båten et veldig bra fornøyelsestilbud med barer, casino, restauranter og shopping. Perfekt for en hyggelig weekendtur.

Hi there.
This review will be about the cruise between Oslo and Kiel, based on my 3 previous visits with the ship Color Magic.
At the terminal, just go to the ticket machine and you will receive your boarding passes. Those will work as your “cabin key”, and you will need to present it if you have pre-booked food or entertainment. It will also be requested should you have a little walk in Kiel and is going back to the ship afterwards, so I recommend to keep your eyes on the boarding pass regularly.
Onboard you will find plenty of things to do: shops you can visit, the Duty free, restaurants, Places to eat or have something to drink, entertainment and more. Or just go to the sundeck, should the weather be nice enough just enjoying the Seaview. All the places I visited, I found service minded and helpful staff and they all went that extra miles to make the experiences some of the best.
The cabin was tiny, but looked and smelled wonderful👍🏻
Based on the good experience I have so far, I have no problems recommending giving it a try for yourself 😎 just be prepared: there might be sometimes it can feel a little crowded as there are plenty of people coming onboard at the same location and time when departure/Arrival is happening. So remember to be a little patient.

Does anyone know if the ferry is generally full? I don't wish to make a reservation in advance because my understanding is that if you miss the ferry it's non refundable. We are traveling the last week of September and I'm not sure exactly what day we will need to cross from Kristiansand to Hirtshal.

I bought our tickets literally the day before and it was pretty much space everywhere except in the seating rest area.. by September should be even better..
