So glad to have visited the #TanshikarFarm in #Goa..another amazing discovery. Not just a wonderful place, but so inspired by Gauri and Chinmay Tanshikar... their love for what they do is at a completely diff level!! Gauri had us all lost in her stories of the farm and the magical spices..one of the best storytellers i have ever seen or heard😊 Last but not the least is the amazing lunch they serve.. simple, home cooked and just absolutely delicious! And ofcourse the grumpy cat was the star😋❤️

A very interesting tour around the plantation. Staff was very friendly and explained a lot about the spices in a very amusing way making us guess facts about the different plants. Food was delicious too.

We were 2 families during the visit.
Interest grew from TripAdvisor, Google reviews supported by a thumbs up from a couple of my friends who had been there.
You need to do the bookings directly through their website or via phone.
Dont expect a well designed corporate structure, professional or scripted talk or any of it when coming here. I would not even call it a business because it is not run like one.
What is going to blow you over is a Family Run Farm, which is run with a lot of dedication and truthfulness(I have never used this word in any of my past reviews).
The owner Mr Chinmay Tanshiker was handed over a farm by the previous generation which he has turned into a place where people like us can get our kids to show the wonders of nature.
Few details of the property
1) Very Good Rooming Options (Mud Houses, Tree Houses, Individual Houses etc).
I would recommend the mud houses to get a feel of what village life is).
2) Dining Options As per buffet for the day no Ala Carte, But Fresh Juices and Milk Shakes are a treat.
3) They have a inhouse adventure activity setup complete with a zip line, the cost is included in the rooming charges.
4) Hiking Activities with include two options depending on the time at hand and your willingness to walk.
5) A in house fresh water pool to dive in.
6) A tour of the plantation with Chinmay himself, very knowledgeable and he makes it interesting for the kids and adults alike.
We enjoyed every bit of our 1 night stay at this place and we want to come back for more.
Chinmay himself is a award winning Organic Farmer, his wife is as capable as he is , and to listen to his daughter practice her classical singing is a treat to ones ears.
The staff or team that this farmhouse has is excellent, a special mention of Dilkhush who stays true to his name.

This is family run working organic spice farm where you will get to see and learn about cultivation and harvesting of many spices grown in this region. Chinmay and Gauri are wonderful and very knowledgeable hosts. Gauri spent almost couple of hours with us to show their farm, various spice plantations and explain all the details of spice farming. This experience also included a delicious buffet lunch, prepared using the produce from their own farm. All in all it was a wonderful and insightful experience.

We took a bike ride from Agonda.
A bit long but worth the road.
The owners were very polite and they had a very warm welcome.
The spice plantation visit was interesting and also the kids enjoyed it.

One of the must offbeat things to do in Goa. The drive to the place is beautiful too. The family is so down to earth and runs the place themselves. Food is unbelievable. Easily the best spice farm in Goa.

Yes, we did so last week. May be it is difficult at High season (January). You better come before lunch, because lunch is included in the tour price wich was 500 Rupies. With a scooter you need approx 60 min from Palolem Beach to get there.

There is no regular bus service right to The farm. Best is to hire a taxi that is if you are not driving. It will take you a little over an hour to get there through scenic country roads.

How long is the trek? Is it an hour in total or an hour each way? We’re a bit decrepit and not very fit 😀

I’m not sure. I would think they do prepare them in separate vessels as they are Hindus and therefore respect pure vegetarian culture.

It is chargeable and includes a welcome drink - very informative tour of the farm and a good buffet lunch from the organic produce .. if I am not wrong it was 500 per adult and 250 for kids ...

I have not been in Goa in June so cannot say for sure, but if you have not visited a spice farm before I would think it would be especially green and fresh during monsoon. The prehistoric rock carvings nearby (I am told) are also good to visit during monsoon.

Hi,
Good morning from cavalosim it will take 1.30 hours to reach our farm.
In a day visit we do plantation visit with lunch and trek to water fall.
Trek includes jeep safari and trek with local guide.
Per person price is Rs1200.
It will start around 10.30 am and up to 3.30 to 4.00 pm.
