AI had the most dreadfull experience with this company.
I have ordered a scarf from them as a present for my niece's Birthday .She lives in Poland.
I paid for the scarf and international delivery and they send a wrong scarf.
Idid try to compain but wasn't listen.So bacause I promised her that scarf I placed the same order for the second tome once again paying for everything.
But I did contact the company to ensure the right product was being send.And I had their conformation.
And for the second time they send the wrong product!!!
To be short it was found their adverts were wrong and they decided to send the right scarf for free.
Two weeks gone and nothing arrived.
When asked for tracking number I only heard excuses.
And suddenly after me writing to them again and again they provided me with a new tracking number and never explained why they were lying about sending the replacement which they didn't earlier.
So....when the "second" replacement arrived in the end (one month after my niece's Birthday) she had to pay £ 5.55 custom charges for her own presentwhich company never paid).
When I wrote to them again to ask for refund ofthosr charges I WAS TOTALLY IGNORED BY THEM!!!
My advie is never buy from them because if something will go wrong with your order you will never get their help or your money back!

I am amazed by the quality of the garments here, and the price is very fair. I would advise that people that have no idea of what quality is should not shop here, stick to Debenhams or t.k max.

Lovely shop in a stunning location. If you plan on buying a Harris Tweed garment while on Harris you must see the inventory here. You may pay a bit more here but the superior quality is undeniable. And for an item you will likely use for the rest of your days it is money well spent. They have great inventory and my husband and I spent a fun time with sales women Mary and Annie trying on a variety of jackets. They were friendly and knowledgeable but were not high pressure at all. It was hard to decide but we both settled on fine jackets we’ll be excited to wear in the coming Seattle autumn. They have smaller items as well and the drive along the Golden Road is so beautiful a trip here is a great way to spend an afternoon touring this stunning island.

We had read all the positive reviews, and I also was so very impressed with the quality of the clothing and the kindness of the staff. We had a lovely time and found the trip to into the backroads well worth our time and trouble.

My approach to clothes is buying good quality infrequently, so this place was just what I like.
We bought a waistcoat for my husband and a big woolly jumper for me. (The jumper was from the mens collection, but the smallest size was still fine for me even as a UK 8/10)
One of the few places where you find jackets lined in natural fibres. So many, event fairly good end clothes let down by poor quality linings which make you hot.
I have kept the name to order a jacket for myself sometime in the future when I have decided exactly which one to get - not the kind of purchase to be making lightly unless you're very well off!
After having been underwhelmed by other tweed shops, glad to have found this one

This shop is off the main road but it is worth the detour. The jackets are expensive and some of them are very expensive, but it is top quality material and as Annie explained to me full-weight Harris Tweed is very difficult to cut and sew. You get what you pay for. Look at their website beforehand so you know what to expect, Unfortunately there were very few jackets in my size, this is partly a result of some recent problems in the industry and because my size (42R) is popular. But it was an opportunity to find out my size if I ever decide to order online. Annie was a fount of knowledge about tweed and its weavers and she urged me to visit Douglas John MacKay of Luskentyre (famous for his Nike tweed) to discuss possible tweeds for a jacket and I am glad I did.

Visited the Harris Tweed exhibition and the lovely homely shop next door. Both were well worth a visit, and the staff in the shop were friendly and helpful...

Other reviews say this place is expensive and it is. This is because their products are superb. The lady was very honest and told me to go to the cheaper shops nearby, which I did. Yes their jackets were £175 cheaper but they were awfully made, bulky, ill fitting, wonky buttons. I returned here and bought a jacket that looks like it was made to measure and will last a lifetime. They have loads of stock available but only put out one of each thing so you can see what's there. Class, thank you for the experience.

The shops are a bit lacking in products and sizes. They are limited in their ranges and stock. At the end of the day it's a house with a few items to choose from.

We're sorry that you were disappointed with your visit to our shop but are rather surprised by your comments. We have two sales areas, one with a good selection of knitwear and accessories, the other a boutique type showroom to showcase our Harris Tweed Jackets and Coats for men and women.
We stock a large range of many different styles, especially in men's jackets. Bearing in mind that these are offered in Short, Regular and Long fittings, and that Ladies' clothing is generally Size 8 through to 22, it's impossible to display everything on the sales floor.
We hope that our customers can browse through a selection of the styles we sell and then ask to be shown everything available in their size and preferred tweed patterns/colours etc.
We certainly have as large a stock of men's and ladies' quality Harris Tweed clothing as is available anywhere in Lewis and Harris.
After a busy season, as with any retail outlet, it's always possible we have sold out of a certain size in a particular tweed but given that we are of necessity a seasonal business we pride ourselves on offering as good a selection of high quality clothing as possible.

On a trip along the Golden Road we stopped off here. The clothes were lovely to look at and quite exquisite, but prices were astronomical and we felt it may have catered more to the purses of foreign tourists.

No, virtually no shop on Lewis or Harris is open on Sunday. In fact the only shop I have found open on Sunday was the Coll Pottery because it is also a cafe.
