After 4 times trying to get to st kilda we finally made it. Definatly a memorable experience. I was a bit apprehensive about the boat however Angus and Archie were the perfect hosts their knowledge and experience was evident and they were so warm and welcoming nothing was a problem for them Would def recommend kilda cruises had a brilliant experience. P.S. homemade chocolate cake was delicious.xxx

We were extremely fortunate to take this trip on 18 July. The weather was perfect and it was a privilege to learn about the lives of the people who lived there who were evacuated in 1930. Kilda cruises made sure that we missed nothing and after taking us to the island, gave us a sail around the stacs next to the main island which have a massive seabird colony. Angus and Archie gave us one of the most memorable tours ever. Moran taing. (That’s many thanks in Gaelic)

Professional and experienced seamen Angus and Grant delivered 12 of us safely in choppy water to St Kilda .As the day calmed we walked to the radio mast for great views and enjoyed the village history before returning to the boat for coffee, cake and a dram on the way back. Grant was very attentive to all our needs and made the trip the highlight of our 2 week tour of the Hebrides.

A super visit to St Kilda islands. Well organised by Captain Angus and Grant who kept us safe and entertained in the lumpy journey out. The sun shone when we arrived and the rest of the visit. The journey home around the Stacks was amazing with thousands of birds nesting on the cliff faces.
This was our second attempt to get there, the first was cancelled due to weather. You need to book well in advance for a memorable day.

Bucket list trip for my Dad. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Even though it was rainy on Kilda. Would recommend Kilda Cruises

My wife and I took the trip to StKilda yesterday and it was fantastic. I would like to thank our crew Ali, Neil & Ian for their time, they made the trip what is was.if anyone is thinking of going to St Kilda I highly recommend Kilda Cruises. Thanks again

The boat exceeded all expectations of comfort and safety. Everything bang on schedule. Skipper Angus has been doing thus trip for twenty years and his knowledge and experience were obvious. Crewman Alex kept us informed of everything we needed to know but was not intrusive. St Kilda, birdlife and (lucky us!) two pods of dolphin fulfilled all my dreams of the last twenty-five years.
Local circumstances required me to change my sailing date. In recognition of this I received the most amazing hospitality from Angus and his wife Cristina.
This trip cost a lot of money and travelling time by my standards but it was worth every penny and every minute of effort. I cannot recommend Kilda Cruises too highly.

What can I say ! What a unbelievable day we had with Angus and Roddy fantastic very well kept vessel for or trip across to St Kilda Angus is very knowledgeable and a great skipper I can’t recommend them enough *****

What an amazing experience thank you so much it exceeded my expectations! Alex and forgive me I can’t pronounce the skippers name let alone spell it, but I’m sure you’ll know who was paired up with Alex yesterday were both knowledgeable and friendly. We were all made to feel welcome on board. The visit to St Kilda is just magical. It’s true that it is impossible to describe to those who have not yet seen it. Highly recommend kilda cruises. Thank you Angus and your team it was a very special day

I agree with others. It’s unpredictable. I went in July and it was flat calm and perfect conditions. They also said it was highly unusual for it to be so calm. The crew are top notch and will do everything they can to make sure you have a safe trip.

Hello MacMacleod, Thanks for your query and apologies for the late reply. Our St Kilda trips are not accessible for people who use wheelchairs due to the reasons given above, mainly the transfer from the main boat by dinghy to the quay at St Kilda.
We can and have has many passengers in the past using a walking stick or sticks and crew are happy to assist as much as we can and as much as the passenger is comfortable with us doing following prior discussion. Do contact us again if you would like to discuss further.

How difficult is it to get from the boat onto the jetty at Saint Kilda? Please say which company and

Hi Davina.
Like all boats that go to St Kilda, we have to go ashore from a small tender. This is not difficult but we do assist many of our passengers with this as people can be, understandably, apprehensive about stepping from the big boat onto the dinghy.
We are always glad to assist people as much or as little as they want us to. We have two vessels and people can find that the 'Hirta' is easier for disembarking, but very happy to discuss with you in advance if you wish.

Hi John,
The cost for the St Kilda trip is £195 per person. Included is a £5 landing fee which we collect on behalf of the National Trust for Scotland. Just let us know if you need any other details.
