Nice place just besides Palolem beach.
After a little bargaining, we paid Rs. 700 for a boat ride with 6 people.
In between the ride you can click pictures of King Fisher, Monkeys and Eagles (when they throw some pieces of chicken).
A wonderful experience. Remember to capture the eagle show in Slow motion, you would love it :)

A beautiful experience - for only 800 rupees for 2. Go with one of the local boat owners, who grew up in this area. You feel their love for the place.

Went for a trip with mr big to see the Eagles very good couple of hours he takes you in his boat and then stops and throws bits of chicken into the river and the eagles swoop down to pick them up if you are lucky you might even catch a sight of some of the monkeys that are there well worth a trip

One can enjoy the place hiring a local boat and nearby island but do the Map homework so the local do not make fool of you

Palolem Beach - is also known as "Paradise Beach" located in South Goa. This beach is about a mile long and it provides seclusion and idyllic scenery. This beach in Goa is not very developed in terms of tourism. So if you are planning to stay over at Palolem Goa, then you may find yourself residing in some huts, enjoying a simple way of living. The best time to visit Palolem Beach is November to March.
This stretch of white sand dominates the southern coast of Goa. Until a few years back, it was among the virgin beaches of Goa. However, it couldn't escape from the eyes of the tourists. Although a few developments have taken place, the beach still has a soothing aura to it. A large area of the beach now accommodate a lot of small shacks that taper off as you move towards the south. Dolphin cruises and the fishing trips are the other popular attractions. These are offered at quite a reasonable rate.
Accommodation is easily available here. Though there are a couple of money exchange cent res, Palolem does not have any banks. The closest railway station is at Canacona, which is just 3 km away from Palolem. There are also a lot of buses that ply from Margao to Canacona. From there taxis and local buses are easily available.
Nice hotel and restaurant variety of food available

Once you are there in the Reserve office, they warmly welcome you. The cruise starts 4pm, and takes you to the island through the beach. you may see some dolphins around the beach - extra benefit. At night you can see olive ridley turtles in this beach. (we couldn't see them, heard it from our guide Kumar)
Island is a paradise, without a doubt. You can see stunning beach all around you. Around 6 pm we were lucky enough to see the sunset which took us to a dream. So many birds, specially eagles, and also monkeys. bio-diversity hot spot. After 3 hours you will come back with a night sky full of stars. Totally this tour to the Island was a sweet dream for us.

Looks picturesque but don't bother going, nice to walk to but not worth while venturing onto this privately owned island

If you are looking for some offbeat places near Palolem then this is the choice. A wonderful place during the sunsets.

Palolem has many places to eat but one place that served the most tasty local FRESH food was named "Rian's Restaurant" It is behind Seaview Resort and owned by a very kind local family. Every dish was prepared with love and fresh upon order.
We wanted to try some local dishes (like King Fish Vindaloo) and the owner and chef prepared it for us the very next day after we requested it.
Not only is the food fantastic but they are very happy to have you at their restaurant, they treat you with kindness and the prices are fair and much more affordable then the resorts around. PERFECT for backpackers or families on a budget!
Try their samosas with chutney, thali's and breakfast as well! Always prepared fresh and served with a genuine smile.
