I enjoyed seeing the chameleons and snakes that are native to Madagascar. The frogs were interesting as well.

Dopo il Parco Anamalozoatra e il Vakona l’ultima sosta nella zona di Andasibe è da fare in questa piccola riserva. Nella visita lunga di 90 minuti c’è tempo ancora per qualche famiglia di lemure Sifaka Coronato che porta a spasso il piccolo sulla schiena. Splendidi i camaleonti Parson grandi e piccini così come le piccole rane colorate

В этом уникальном парке есть несколько больших вольеров. В одном из них, на растущих там деревьях, обитают большое разнообразие хамелеонов. В эти вольеры разрешается заходить и фотографироваться с животными, это было потрясающе. Хамелеоны не пугались, ползали по нам, оставили на память потрясающие фотографии. В другом вольере можно было сфотографироваться с гекконами. Так же можно сделать фото со змеями. Этот парк небольшой, но тем не менее это лучший экзотический парк, который я посещала.

Ce zoo ou cette ferme animalière de Peyrieras , ( mais surement pas un parc ) principalement réservé à des caméléons et des batraciens , se situe près du village de Marozevo en bas de la longue descente de la RN2 sur la rivière Mandraka en direction de Toamasina . Bien qu'à 70 km de la capitale Tana , il faut bien 2 heures pour arriver jusqu'ici, car la RN2 est en mauvais état et encombrée de camions .
La visite de ce lieu ,peut s'avérer décevante pour certains , car le site est un peu dégradé , les animaux sont en cage , mais c'est nécesaire pour les maintenir sur place . Les lémuriens sont libres, mais attachés à l'homme grace à la distribution de bananes, dont ils sont friants . Ce système , permet de satisfaire l'exigences des touristes, qui veulent voir , sans se fatiguer à déambuler dans une forêt sans avoir la certitude de trouver l'animal recherché, comme à Andasibé par exemple .
Le seul intérêt de ce lieu, est de pouvoir observer une quantité assez importante de très beaux caméléons , de grenouilles et autres batraciens qui , dans la nature, sont peu répandus du fait de la culture en brulis . On peut donc faire de superbes photos et même prendre un caméléon dans la main .
La visite se déroule selon un plan prévu, dans des allées sous la conduite d'un guide , qui ne permet pas de s'attarder sur ce que l'on souhaiterait observer . Les crocodiles sont aussi mis dans un enclos , pour des raisons de sécurité , ce qui facilite leur observation .
La visite de ce " zoo " ne doit pas constituer le seul objet du déplacement ,compte tenu des conditions de circulation pour venir ici . Mais la vallée de la Mandraka , offre tout de même quelques endroits interessants !

this is a must see when you are the tana area. my guide brought me to see of over 10 species of chameleons and many other reptiles such as gegkos, and snakes. afterwards, he took up a mountain and i saw 2 species of wild lemurs: the coqureill sifaka and the brown lemur. my guide knew the name of every chameleon: which gives you great practice for study before seeing the real thing in the wild. if you have enjoyed lemur's park then you should come here

This place is amazing. You can pet lemurs that come right up to you. You can hold chameleons, frogs and geckos. Make sure to book the longest length tour. Such a great experience!

Although this is a wildlife reserve, the enthusiastic guides are able to show you, and even let you handle, examples of the wide variety of Madagascan fauna. This visit came at the start of a 2-week tour of Madagascar, so at this early stage I needed help to pick out chameleons from the forest background (after another week spotting them had become much easier!) so this was a good entry point. Other things you can see here are geckos, snakes, incredible tree frogs (like the golden mantilla, which is native to the region and the main reason the reserve was created) and even a crocodile. There is a picnic area, with tables, though you need to bring your own food and drink: there are bathrooms available but no cafe.

I visited this reserve during my first full day in Madagascar. Eponymously named after its founder Ander Peyrieras, the small zoo is found on the way to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. The pattern of my visit was similar to almost everything else I saw in the country; I was brought to the location by my in-country guide (Nicol Moses) and toured the location with him and a local guide. The area contains a variety of chameleons, geckos, frogs, moths, snakes, and sundry other animals that anyone who has done even superficial reading would recognize from a Bradt or Lonely Planet Guide. The animals and insects are held within a variety of species-specific cages and greenhouses. Our guide led us around on a “highlight tour” which took a little over an hour. Clearly well-informed about and comfortable with the animals, he safely presented a number of them in a brief time, including a boa that I was able to hold for the requisite photo opportunity.
In summary, this visit exposed me to a large number of iconic Malagasy creatures in a brief period of time and was educational to boot. For the average tourist it would take days if not weeks if not be impossible to identify all of these living creatures in the wild, so in many ways it was tailor made for my itinerary and served as the perfect introduction into the country’s wildlife. The local guide was clearly very knowledgeable and able to answer all of my novice questions thoroughly. A recommended visit for those with an interest.
In summary, this visit exposed me to a large number of iconic Malagasy creatures in a brief period of time and was educational to boot. Here is a large collection of chameleons, with whom you can make friends if you find them among the branches. In addition to chameleons, you will find crocodiles, snakes, geckos, frogs and toads, and of course spiders.

If you are early you can meet the few Lemurs they have. An hour after the first visitors they have had already so many banana's that they wont come down from the trees.
The collection of large chameleons is amazing and great fun to walk through the large cage. Villagers are contracted to supply daily a quantity grasshoppers to feed them.
Even in a cage, some gecko's are difficult to spot. Improvement or enlargement can be made to some of the cages. The farm gives a great opportunity to see close-up these animals, you would require weeks to find them in the wild. There they will try to run or they go behind the branch. Great photo shoots.

it is a nice and small reserve at Marozevo where you canfind different species of reptile and lemurs. It worths a visit as most of those animal are difficult to tind in the nature
